It's my 100th blog post today!!  YAY!! =)  And I did my first coupon'ing trip today!!  I've wanted to try it for a long time, but I had no idea what I was doing.  So one evening I did a lot of reading about it online, and figured out which stores in my area would take coupons and which ones would take more than one coupon.  So after cutting coupons and finding some online, Brian and Emma and Me of course headed out today to see what we could do!  95% of this was done at Target.  So here is what we got:

I'll break it all down as to what we got.
4 packages of Stayfree
4 Febreeze warmers
2 packages of Milo's dog treats
2 packages of Waggin' Trail dog treats
1 bottle of Scope mouthwash
1 tube of Colgate toothpaste
2 packages of Gillette Fusion razors
1 bottle of Garnier shampoo
1 package of Sunbelt granola bars
1 package of Kraft homestyle Mac&Cheese
Guess how much I spent?  $20.11!!!  Super happy about that.  I'm anxious to start doing a little more!!  Anyone else out there use coupons??

Have a great day!!! =)

Emma's Weekend!

Miss Emma has gone to my parents house for the weekend!  She refers my mom and dad as "Nana & BeeBee".  =)  She left yesterday afternoon and will be home tomorrow evening.  My mom e-mailed me some pictures from their adventure today.  Here is Emma having fun!

Emma & BeeBee

This is located in Baxter State Park.  Where Mt Katahdin is located.  Mt Katahdin is the end of the Appalacian Trail.  I was very fortunate to grow up there.  Isn't it beautiful there =)

Hiking into the Park.  I think she was pretending this was her balance beam! =)

 Emma and Nana =)

Apparently Emma insisted if she was going for a Hike then she had to have a walking stick!

Looks to me like she's having a good time! =)  When they got back to my parents house this afternoon she went swimming in the pool and then they took her out for supper.  I'm pretty sure she will sleep good tonight!!! =)

Next Level!

It's another gymnastics post!  I hope nobody gets tired of me posting about gymnastics, but right now it's a big part of Emma's life =)  I don't remember if I mentioned this before or not, but Emma started gymnastics in June.  She did a round of level 1 and then we expected she would move onto level 2.  Well, in order to move onto Level 2 you have to be able to complete everything that is requested of you in level 1.  So at the end of level 1, we got her report card as you would call it I guess, and it said she needed to do another round of level 1.  Emma at first was upset, but we told her that doing another round of level 1 would just make her that much better at it.  So today was her last day in this class.  We got her report and it said she was moving on to Level 2!!!!  I haven't seen her this excited in a long time! =)  She gave us a huge high five and had a huge smile on her face.  She is just so much in love with everything gymnastics.  From the time she wakes up in the morning she is doing cartwheels and flips through the entire house.  It's cute =)  So here are just a couple of photos from today =)

And there she is showing off her report!!  So she has a week off before starting back up.  This summer the classes have been twice a week, but with school starting soon the classes are only once a week.  So we have decided to pay for the second class as well.  So she will still be going twice a week, and we're hoping for a private lesson next week =)
Tomorrow Emma is going to a friends Birthday party and then she is heading to my parents house for the rest of the weekend, and she will come home Monday afternoon.  I'm definately going to miss her, but with me working all weekend (and working nights at that) i'll be able to catch up on a lot of sleep!!!  This morning we drove up to the town next to my parents.  My hubby was offered a part time job at the Police Department up there, so we drove up so he could be sworn in =)  I'm super happy for him!  He's still working at the Police Department here, but the other job will be good for when he has days off etc.  And the other cool thing is, at the new Police Department he's at, He will be working with my dad!  I think that's pretty cool =)
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!  =)

Mini Fashion Show =)

Last week after reading a post from Shawna over at Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! , I decided to order some clothes for Emma from Naartjie!  I wasn't sure on sizing, and thank you to Shawna she helped me with that!! =)  My order came in today and I asked Emma to try everything on and I of course took a few pictures! =)

Check out the pose! haha  This was by far my favorite outfit that I got so far!!!  I love it!  I ordered a size 6 top and 6 pants, and they fit perfect, with room to grow!  I had to roll the sleeves up by other than that, perfect =)
So I have always had a hard time with what kind of shoes to pair an outfit like the one in the picture above.  This time of the year she can wear sandles or flip flops but when it gets colder out, what type of shoes do you all suggest to go with it?
Here is the second outfit!
And this is the second outfit I got from Naartjie =)  I love it, but the top is a bit bigger than I thought it would be.  I ordered a size 6 capris and a 6 top, and i'm thinking that I could have gone with a size 5 top.  It's a little longer than I would like, but there is room to grow! =)
So those are my purchases from Naartjie!  I will most definately be buying from them again!  Their stuff is so nice =)
Emma and I went to the mall this morning, and the Gap was having a pretty big sale.  So I ended up buying her 2 new pairs of Jeans, They were buy one get one 50% off.
I love boot cute jeans on her! =)  And the top is from Carters!  Cute outfit, I think =)
I keep saying this, but she is now done for school shopping! haha  I just sometimes can't help myself when I see something cute =)

Hope everyone enjoys their day!!! =)

Decorations =)

Okay Blogger Friends!  I'm in the process of planning Emma's 6th Birthday party.  I cannot believe she is going to be 6 years old next month.  Time goes by so fast.  =(  So before I start crying about this, let me get to the point! =)   So my question for all of you is where do you purchase your birthday decorations?  Our theme for her party is going to be a "Princess Tea Party".  I'm looking for decorations that are unique, original and fun.  I've looked on Etsy and found some cute things, but where else are some good places to find some cute decorations?  I'm hoping to go with muted colors, like pinks, purples, greens, blues and yellows.  I'm hoping to make it really cute =)  I'm anxious to hear where everyone purchases their decorations =)
Another great weekend is in the books!  We spent yesterday at my parents house and tonight we had a lobster feed at my in laws house =)

We started the morning off by sleeping in wayyyy late!  All 3 of us woke up at 10:30 this morning!  That might be due to the fact that we were all up pretty late last night.  Emma has always been one to sleep really late.  I honestly feel bad for anyone out there who's little ones wake up super duper early.  I don't know how you do it.  Anyway, after we woke up Brian mowed the lawn while Emma and I showered and got dressed.  Then we headed to his parents house and had subway for lunch.  I'm slightly addicted to their BLT's on their flatbrad. Never had them?  You must try them!

Unfortunately Brian had to work today =(  Emma and I headed to Target to get a few things and then came back home and I made an orange salad to bring with us this evening.  Then it was about time to head back to my inlaws house for dinner! =)  We were lucky because Brian was able to come and eat dinner with us! =)

It's so funny because there are no boys at all for grandchildren on my husbands side of the family.  The girls all have so much fun playing together.  They range from 1 year to 9 years old.

My niece Hannah is such a big helper!  She is so good to all the girls!

Emma is doing sooooooooo good at handstands!  She can keep them for just a couple of seconds!  She gets better at them everyday! =)

Emma and my mother in laws dog Max =)

Emma with my niece Lily!

This is Aynslie!  Isn't she just sooo sweet!  There is nothing more entertaining then watching a little girl right after she has learned ot walk!  She is so stinkin' cute!!!!

Here she was laughing, and she's got this deep down belly laugh that is absolutely hysterical!!

After playing it was time to eat!  Our dinner was sooo good! =)

Emma decided she was brave enough to hold a lobster while it was alive.  This is lobster is only 1 of the 60 lobsters we had!  My father in law and brother in law went down to the coast of Maine early this morning and literally bought the lobsters right off the boat as they were coming in from the ocean.  You cannot get anymore fresh than that!

Steamed clams.  Probably my favorite!

Emma enjoying some chicken, lobster, chips and watermelon!  Perfect summer dinner =)

Emma and Hannah =)

After dinner I wanted to get my husbands grandmother together with all of her great grandchildren.  Do you know how hard it is to get 5 little girls to look at the camera?  After a few shots we got the perfect one!! =)

Perfect photo!  Memere with all her great grandchildren!  My husbands side of the family is french, so they refer to the grandmothers at Memere.  But Emma has always called Brians mother Mimi, and calls her great-grandmother Old Mimi!  It's so cute! =)

It was another great weekend!  Not many left of the summer.  Emma starts school on September 4th.  2 weeks away, and i'll officially be a mother to a 1st grader.  How in the world did that happen.  Time goes by so fast.  But i'm enjoying and loving every single minute of it!  Love my life =)  I hope everyone had a great weekend as well!!!

Gymnastics & Swim!

So I had promised photos of Emma at gymnastics this past Wednesday.  Well, that didn't happen.  I did bring my camera, however they have a gymnastics camp going on this week for the older kids and it was raining that day so they had them watching a movie inside the gym instead.  So I felt kinda silly taking pictures.  But Friday I took photos! =)  Emma is doing sooo amazing in gymnastics still.  We are so proud of her.  She is loving it so much.  And we surprised her with finally buying her a leotard! =)

Socializing is part of gymnastics right!!  They are so cute together! =)

So today we headed to my parents for the day.  It's about an hour drive from where we live.  The weather wasn't the greatest today but Emma insisted she swim in the pool!  I swear the cold water is nothing to kids!

Emma is such a fish now!  She loves to swim underwater!

We had a good time today!  Tomorrow we are going to be at my in laws house for a huge lobster feed!  Can't wait for it!  Pictures to follow tomorrow night!! =)  Have a great weekend everyone!! =)

Tuesday at the Market

Tuesdays and Fridays are by far the best days, because the farmers market is open!  We love going during the summer.  They have some of the best and freshest vegetables.  So today was Tuesday and it's open in the afternoons so we went! =)

Emma and I started the day by having lunch downtown with a friend of mine and her little girl.  We went to an awesome bagel shop and had I guess a brunch.  Bagels and raspberry lime rickeys!   After that we headed to the mall for a bit.  And then headed home.  By that time Brian was out of work for the day so that's when we headed to the market.

Getting ready to do some shopping!  And my new Thirty-One tote came today so we used that!  Is anyone else as much in love with Thirty-One as I am?  My friend is a consultant and i'm officially obsessed with their products.  I have so much of their stuff now, and i'm loving it!  Emma is loving it too.  And this tote was perfect for picking our stuff up today at the farmers market!

Picking out some fresh Maine corn on the cob!

Emma paid the people for our cabbage and corn =)

Another succesful trip to the market!  Corn on the cob, cabbage, and homemade bread!
We had the most awesome dinner tonight.  And every single thing was cooked on the grill, so that meant hardly any dishes!  Love those kind of suppers!

My inlaws live just up the street from us, so we tend to do dinner with them a lot.  Tonight it was our turn to cook for them!  Here's what we had!  Grilled corn on the cob, Grilled potatoes with seasoning, grilled marinated porkchops, grilled chicken, and grilled shrimp!  We had enough food for an army, but it was soooo good!

I'm definately going to miss summer by the time fall comes.  I love being able to grill out.  Tonight we had a campfire on our patio with Emma and watched a couple of sattelites go by in the sky.  That was pretty cool!  We toasted marshmallows and listened to all the crickets in our backyard.  So peaceful.  I love this time of the year...Maine winters are sooo long.

Tomorrow is gymnastics!  My parents are coming down to watch Emma practice for the first time!  She is excited for them to see her in action!  I'll definately be bringing my camera with me tomorrow!  Goodnight All! =)

80's Flashback!

My mother posted a photo the other day on her facebook page.  Yeah my mother who is 60 years old is more into facebook than I am!  She makes me laugh.  Anywayyy.  She posted a photo the other day and I laughed so hard when I saw it.  So here it is...

Me and my childhood friends!!!  I believe this was taken in 1986.  I laughed soooo hard when I saw this picture.  And it definately made me smile.  Growing up where I did was so much fun!  So left to right.  My cousin Katie (who was like a sister to me), my Friends Serenity & Chelsea, which sadly they moved away shortly after this photo was taken but we have always remained in contact and they are both my best friends to this day!  And then there is Me =)  That's quite the face I have going on there.  And then my cousin Jonathan.  Things back then were so simple and we had no worries at all.  It was a great place growing up with great friends and family! =)
I didn't have anything else to post today, so I thought an 80's flashback would be pefect!!! =)

Back to School Clothes!

I have nothing really to blog about, so i've decided that i'm going to be a copy-cat!  A couple of people have done posts on Back to School Clothes, and now i'm going to as well!  I finally got Emma's school shopping all done.  Except for a few supplies she will need.  This year was a little tough shopping for her.  She has her own opinions now on clothing, and sometimes our opinions aren't always the same.  But we found some super cute clothes and some awesome deals!

First Stop was Carters!

Long Sleeve TopThree-Quarter Sleeve Flannel Tunic
Layered-Look Graphic Tee

Sweater Knit Cardigan Set

I love all these tops we found!  Especially the last one with the long sleeve top with the short sleeve sweater!

Our next stop was OshKosh!

Long Sleeve Graphic TopLong Sleeve Graphic Top
Long Sleeve Graphic Top

These 3 shirts from OshKosh were buy 1 get 2 free!!  Awesome deal there!

Our next stop was the Nike outlet, however I cannot find a photo of the shoes we bought her.  But, she scored a new pair of Nike Shox.  Brian is big into getting just the perfect sneakers for her!

Next stop, LL Bean.

Original Junior Book Pack, Print

This is Emma's new backpack!  I love it!  We had her name monogrammed on it in purple! =)

Next up is Old Navy!

Next, Kohls!

Levi's Claudia Star Flare Jeans - Girls' 4-6x

I can't remember all we got at Kohls, but we got some more items.  I'm having a SUPER hard time finding jeans this year that fit Emma.  She is still fitting into a 5t, but they are kinda short on her.  But a size 5 in girls is wayyyyy too long.  So I found these Levi's for her in a size 5 at Kohls that were a perfect fit!  I'm liking the skinny jeans this year, but there is something about a little girl in a pair of boot cut jeans that I LOVE!!

Next, the Gap!

And this is all I can remember what we got from the Gap! haha
We got a few more things for her from other places, but this pretty much sums it up!  Now that i'm thinking about it I still need to get Emma a pair of flats of some sort as well.  Any suggestions?  =)
Hope everyone has a good night!!!
