What's Up Wednesday

It's Wednesday Friends!!  So time for...

To start, as of today, we have 2 days left until we lave for Vacation!  =) =) =)  I will be on vacation for a total of 21 days...soo soo ready for this!

We are taking my moms car to Florida.  She brought it down the other day so we could get it all set up for the kids.  My parents are also going with us, but they are driving in my moms Mustang.

Selfie the other night with my girls!

Alyx hates when we drop Emma off at school.  She just screams over and over again, "Emma"  It's funny but pathetic at the same time!!

We went to AAA yesterday and on the way back we cruised with the windows down. It was soooo nice out!

I went to the salon and had my hair cut, colored and highlighted.  It was relaxing and awesome all at the same time.  A little me time!

Alyx and I picked Emma up from school...that's her favorite time of the day!

And then we took Emma to get her hair cut.

I think she looks cute with her hair like this!

We came home to find a fun package from my bestie!  She had her mom make these shirts for the girls, and I just love them!!

Alyx's favorite thing lately are lollipops.  And then she gets sticky sticky sticky!!

We ran to Best Buy last night. I got Alyx a pair of sunglasses about a week ago to try and get her used to them while we are in Florida.  Well she has hated them...that is until she realized yesterday that when you have them on it blocks the sun from your eyes a bit =)  She seemed to love them yesterday!

And they are Minnie Mouse glasses =)

And lastly...this was Emma from yesterday...

So there you have your, What's Up Wednesday!

So Close!

4 days.  That's how many days until we make the incredibly long drive from Maine to Florida!  To say we are excited is an understatement!  Everyone is telling us we are crazy for driving, and we are thinking of it as an adventure!  It's an awesome way to see the East Coast if you ask me!

So let's recap a bit.  My niece, Lily, turned 7 the other day and she had a Paris Themed birthday.  Emma thought it was the coolest party ever!  They painted and were able to take home their own easel and paint set.  They also got berets, Eiffel Tower necklaces and earrings.

Alyx has decided that Gunner is not in fact a dog but a horse.

She's crazy people, I tell ya!! haha =)

We are taking my moms car to Florida.  And my parents are driving their mustang.  So we took Nana's car to school and daycare this morning!

And to go along with taking her car, she surprised the girls with this last night.

The girls can each watch their own movie and don't have to watch the same one!  Thanks Nana!

Andddd, get this.  I think winter has finally left Maine!!!

It was sooo nice today, even though I had to work.

And lastly.  In just a few days you will find me here.

Possibly with a fruity drink in my hand.  We can't wait to get to this resort!

We are taking a couple of days to get to Florida.  Friday when we leave we are driving from Maine to Pennsylvania.  Saturday from Pennsylvania to South Carolina and then Sunday South Carolina to Florida.  We wanted to break it up a tad for the girls!  I'm sure i'll blog on our trip, but not a ton!  You can always follow me on Instagram i'm sure i'll be overgramming there (@johannahsirois)

Liebster Award - A little Fun =)

As I was going through the blogs I read the most, I noticed that Justine from Full Hands Full Hearts, nominated me for the Liebster Award!  I had heard of this before, but didn't know a whole lot about it.  Basically it's for people who blog with less than 3,000 followers.  I guess it's a way to get more followers.  And I thought, this could be fun!!  Thank you for the nomination, Justine!!

So Justine gave me a list of 10 questions to answer...so here it goes!!

1.  What is your favorite accessory?   To be quite honest, i'm not a huge jewelery person, I love love love my Alex & Ani bracelets, but i'm not one to wear a lot of jewelery at once.  And of course I love my wedding set, that will always be my most favorite accessory!!

2.  When is your favorite time of the day to read blogs?  I love to read blogs first thing in the morning.  I get up so early on days that I work, so when I get to work it's usually very slow so I have a couple of hours to catch up on my favorite blogs and write my own post.  On days that i'm off from work, I drop Emma off at school come home and let Alyx play and watch cartoons and I get caught up with reading then.  Of course *always* with a cup of coffee!

3.  Who makes you laugh the most?  My girls!  They can seriously be the funniest kids ever, and we're always laughing here about something =)

4.  What was your favorite meal you had when you were growing up?  This is a tough one.  My mom was and is such a good cook.  I guess I would have to say she makes a pork chop casserole that I just love, but Brian unfortunately doesn't like it, so I never make it.  Once in a while when i'm at my parents and Brians not there my mom will make it for me!

5.  What are your favorite TV shows to watch?  I love TV!  And I love a wide range of different types of shows.  And below are my VERY favorites!

6.  What is your idea of a perfect date night?  These don't happen all that often, but when they do we love to go out to dinner.  Usually somewhere that we don't often take the kids.  And then usually to a movie.

7.  What is your dream job?  Well, my dream job would be to be a SAHM.  I know, I know.  But working full time and odd hours I feel like I miss out on a lot of things that Emma does in school.  But unfortunately I have to work outside of the home.

8.  If you could pick 5 people in the whole world to have dinner with, who would it be?  The first one would be my grandmother.  She is really ill right now, and lives about 4 hours from us.  So I would love to sit down and have dinner with her.  Lets see.  Umm.  Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.  I'm fascinated by her.  She's not only beautiful but she seems really down to earth.  The Bush family, meaning George, Laura..and Jenna too of course!  We could have dinner right at their home in Kennebunkport here in Maine =)  I honestly can't think of 2 other people! haha

9.  What are 3 beauty products you can't live without?   I'm not big into makeup.  Sometimes I wish I were.  But here are 3 things that I use every.single.day.  And swear by all 3.

I love the argan oil of morocco conditioner!  It works soo good and smells awesome too.  I have been using the Clean & Clear morning burst skin brightening cleanser for a very very long time now.  And the St. Ives apricot scrub is amazing too!

10.  What are you looking forward to most this summer?  The weather!!  As most of you know, I'm over this winter and we even woke up this morning to it snowing again.  So so so over it!  I'm ready for days at the lake, and sunshine =)

Now it is time for me to nominate some blogs that I love!!

Stacey from The Yarbrough's

Tonya from Here Comes The Sun

Jennifer from Sweet Little Loving's

Desiree from Macke Monologues

Here are 10 questions ladies for you to answer now! =)

2.  What are some of your favorite blogs?
3.  Where is your favorite place to vacation?

Show & Tell Tuesday - Favorite Vacation

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show & Tell Tuesday!  I've never done one of these, so I thought it would be kind of fun!  And before I get started, today marks my 400th blog post!  =)

I had to think about this one for a bit.  Brian and I took a couple of vacations before Emma was born, and yes we had a blast, but I would have to say my very favorite vacation was from our trip to Georgia in 2010.  My best friend, Chelsea, was getting married and Emma and I were both in the wedding.  We seriously had the best time ever!

Chelsea's mom put on the best bridal party luncheon the day before the wedding.  It was perfect!  And the weather was beautiful.  I would love to have a screened in back porch like this on the back of our house.  Brian and I sat out here most evenings, and it was so peaceful.

Chelsea and her husband Casey were married at Oakhurst Farm in West Point, Georgia.  Absolutely beautiful place!

Looking at these pictures, I cannot believe how little Emma was!

One picture that I didn't get that I wish I had was the rehearsal dinner food.  Ha!  Brian and I still talk about it to this day.  We had prime rib and shrimp & grits with cheese.  They were served in little martini glasses.  It was defiantly the nicest rehearsal dinner we have ever been too.

Emma stuck to Gracie like glue the entire week we were there.  They became instant buds!

I loved the girls dresses.  Chelsea had someone make them, and they were so adorable!

Emma, Walker & Gracie.  They were so cute together all week.

It was such a beatufiul wedding, and we had soooo much fun.  I wish we had been able to stay longer than we did.  Another picture that I don't have is when Chelsea and her husband were getting ready to leave the reception they left via Helicopter!  The helicopter landed in the field next to where the reception was and off they went!  They were able to fly over Atlanta and they said it was amazing!!

While we were there we had family photos done, and they have become some of my favorites!

We definately had a ton of fun on this vacation!  It was a busy vacation but we were able to find time to have fun and relax at times too!

Link up and share your favorite vacation too!!

Easter Weekend

We had a really great Easter Weekend, and I hope you all did as well!  On Friday when I got out of work the weather was Ah-Mazing!  66 degrees and sunny.  Emma went to the movies with her cousin, and Brian and I took Alyx to dinner and then we went and did some last minute Easter shopping.

Saturday, the weather was horrible.  Cold and it snowed once again.  Can I just say 11 more days until Florida!?!  =)

Sunday morning Brian got up early and made pancakes for breakfast.  I didn't get a picture of them, but he made colored Easter egg pancakes.  =)

And then the girls got to opening their Easter baskets.

As you can see Alyx, was very excited about her pancakes! Ha!

Baskets were pretty simple this year.  Emma's had some candy, a bathing suit and a beach towel in it.  Alyx's had a coloring book & crayons in it, and a lollipop.  And they both got some sidewalk chalk to use outside (if the snow ever melts).

We had Easter dinner at my in-laws.  I love to cook, so I helped out by making a few things to bring up!

Lemon meringue pie, broccoli bake, and raspberry sour cream pie with homemade whipped cream.  I also made an orange salad and a strawberry cheesecake.

All the girls were spoiled with these gigantic chocolate Easter Bunnies from my mother in law.  The little kids got little baskets with some cute clothes and a bunny.

Alyx and Kaden have so much fun playing together!!

My MIL made the best ham!

Soo good!  And Emma was obsessed with the deviled eggs she made =)

Later yesterday afternoon we went over to my brother in laws to see their baby chicks they got their kiddos for Easter.  And let me tell you...they are adorable!!!

Of course all the way home from Emma I heard "Mommy I really want chickens!" Haha =)

So all in all we had a great day!  I hope all of you did too! =)
Happy Monday!!
