Recipe Club {Crockpot Meatballs}

Happy Wednesday Friends!  It's Recipe Club day today =)  If you have a recipe you want to share, be sure to link up with myself and Heather.

I know I have posted this recipe before, but it was a long long time ago.  I love an easy recipe, and most all of the recipes I share with you are simple.  But people...this one is simple and fool proof!  I love a good meatball appetizer.  Especially one that is delicious and tastes like you spent hours putting it together.  A few years ago a co-worker brought these to work, and I immediately demanded the recipe =)  I've made them now more times than I can count, and they are always a hit.

Start with 1 package of Frozen Italian Style Meatballs into your crock-pot.  You could even make your own meatballs if you have time.
Mix up in a bowl the following:
3 cups Ketchup
3 cups Brown Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard (which I forgot to put in the picture)
Mix all of the above together and pour of the frozen meatballs and stir it all up.
Cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours.
They are delish!  You could really even make a meal out of them and serve them with rice.  I typically just make them to serve as an appetizer.
So now it's your turn.  Share a recipe with us by linking up below!

Have a great Wednesday!! =)

*KIDS*Summer Reading Club Announcement

Happy Tuesday Friends =)  I'm excited to tell you guys about a fun Kids Summer Reading Club that myself, Heather and Jenna are hosting.
We all love reading, and when Heather contacted me and asked how I felt about doing a Kids Summer Reading Club, I just knew that Emma would love it.

So here are the details.

Each month we will pick a new book for the kids to read.
This month we have chosen, The Babysitters Club "Kristy's Great Idea".
I don't know about you, but growing up the Babysitters Club books were one of my very favorites!

Here is a brief description of the book.

Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey are best friends and founding members of The Baby-sitters Club. Whatever comes up -- cranky toddlers, huge dogs, scary neighbors, prank calls -- you can count on them to save the day. Baby-sitting isn't always easy, and neither is dealing with strict parents, new families, fashion emergencies, and mysterious secrets. But no matter what, the BSC have what they need most: friendship.

If you are interested in purchasing the book, you can find it by clicking HERE.
You may also be able to find it at your local library.

Once the kids have finished the book,  we will link back up here on May 24th, and have your kids answer these questions.

On the 24th of May is when we will also announce what the next book will be!
If your kids love reading, we would love to have you join us!
If you have any questions, please let myself, Heather or Jenna know =)
Have a great Tuesday!

hello Monday

Happy Monday Friends =) Be sure to linkup your Monday post with myself and Heather!

I hope you all had an amazing Easter!  We had one of the best Easter's we have had in a very long time =)  I honestly think this was the first Easter Brian has been off from work in about 10 years.  It was so nice for all of us to be home and able to enjoy the day.
So here is a little Easter recap.

The girls weren't up super early, a little after 7 I think.  Alyx was SO excited to see her Easter basket.

Alyx's basket =)
The bubble gun was a HUGE hit.  She also got some candy a movie, bathing suit and towel.

Emma's basket =)
Have you ever played the game Speak Out?  Oh my goodness!  We played after dinner yesterday and we haven't laughed that hard in SO long.  So much fun!!

After the girls opened their baskets, we went outside and found some eggs.
I can't begin to tell you just how amazing our weather was yesterday!  Absolutely gorgeous.  It had rained the night before, so the grass was a bit damp, but that was ok by the girls.

After egg hunting we got ready for the day and I started cooking.  We had dinner at my inlaws, but my mother in law recently had surgery, so we didn't want to make her have to cook anything, so we cooked and brought it all to her.  I made turkey, a homemade strawberry cake with strawberry frosting, candied carrots, and a delicious corn casserole which I am going to share the recipe very soon!  And guess what...I didn't take a picture of any of the food.  I really should have because everything was so good.  My brother in law made a ham, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes.  We really had a ton of food!

The girls had a lot of fun outside playing all day.  It was in the 80's.  I don't recall an Easter with weather like this in a long time =)

I am in LOVE with Alyx's dress.  It has all the characters on it from her favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast.

We ended the day with having ice cream at our favorite local ice cream shop =)

Alyx had cotton candy ice cream and Emma had her favorite, pumpkin chocolate chip =)

Also, if you have an Easter post up today showing off your kiddos Easter Baskets, be sure to link up by clicking HERE =)

Lastly, don't forget...Wednesday is Recipe Club day with Heather and I.  If you have a recipe that you love, share it with us =)

I hope you all had a great weekend, and if you live here in New England, I hope you have a great Patriots Day =)

What's in my bag?

Happy Thursday Friends =)
Yesterday, Erica who blogs over at Second House on the Right, posted yesterday about what's in her purse.  Erin at Perfectly Port has a fun monthly linkup and I figured I would join in on the fun as well =)

So let's start!

10 things that are currently in my purse!

I have literally had this purse for what seems forever.  I'm desperately in need of a new one.  Before kids, I literally bought a new purse probably once every six months.  Coach was my brand of choice, and I must have a dozen of them.  I could probably just go shopping in my closet for a new purse! ha!

So it's suppose to be 10 things in my purse...however after I took this picture I realized I have 11 things.  Whoops!  Oh well ;)

1.  My Wallet.  It's full of rewards cards like you wouldn't believe.  It seems like every store you go into now has a "rewards" system.  And honestly, I feel like I never get anything from these rewards cards.  Does anyone else feel the same?

2. Pens and a Sharpie.

3.  I'm not a big fan of chapsticks.  I really don't like how they make my lips feel all waxy, but Alyx is obsessed with chapstick.  So I keep one for her.  This one just so happens to be cotton candy flavored.  Our dentist hands out the best flavored chapsticks ever!

4.  An extra set of car keys for my car.

5. Band-aids.  Definitely a necessity.

6. Now this one is probably weird.  A cuticle clipper.  But it comes in SO handy!!!  Especially when you have a hang nail.

7.  An extra bottle of nail polish.  You never know when you may need some polish ;)

8.  My glasses...that I never wear ;)

9.  Body spray.  I love this scent.  Emma picked it out for me for Christmas.  Bath & Body Endless Weekend.

10.  Cough drops.  With our sickness lately, I haven't been able to live without them.

11. Lastly, a small container of Gold Bond hand lotion.  I love this stuff!

So what's in your purse??  Link up with Erin and show us =)

Easter Basket Blog Hop

Can you believe that we are just a couple of days away from Easter?  This month is already flying by!  I'm joining a handful of ladies today and showing off Easter baskets =)  Be sure to link up with us anytime between today and the 19th =)

So I have to make a confession.  I haven't finished my girls Easter baskets.  With the girls and I being under the weather the last week, it has been so hard to get it done.  But I am sharing with you items that I am getting them for their baskets.

Emma is at the age where the fun little bottles of bubbles and cute little plastic necklaces are no longer fun for her.  It really stinks when they grow up! ha!

Cadbury eggs are a HUGE hit with Emma!  She absolutely loves them.  I'm also going to get her the new Fantastic Beasts movie.  She has been so anxious to see it.  She's a huge fan of anything Harry Potter, and I guess this is a lot like HP.  And I always get the girls a beach towel and a new bathing suit.

Alyx is a little easier to shop for than Emma.  ha =)

Alyx is getting some crayons and a Troll coloring book.  Is anyone elses kids obsessed with Trolls as much as Alyx?  Oh my goodness.  She could watch it 5,000 times a day if I let her!
A new beach towel and bathing suit for her as well, and a new bubble gun.  Which will be great!  She will absolutely love it =)

So since I didn't get their baskets together to actually show you all, I thought I would also share our baskets from years past.

I have always loved putting together the girls Easter baskets.  And some years I tend to go a bit overboard =)

I hope you will join us today and link up.

hello Monday

Happy Monday =)  I hope you all had a great weekend!  Heather and I are linking up today and sharing our weekend posts.  Be sure to join us =)

This Monday post is going to be really boring.  This was my weekend to work, and those weekends are really quite uneventful.
I can tell you, our weather this weekend was Ah-Mazing!!  Seriously it's about time.  We had a really long winter, that was horrendous, so the sunny blue skies and temps in the high 50's, I'll take it!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday I was able to ride home from work with my sunroof open.  I love the fresh air finally =)

Saturday after work we went to the car wash, because my car desperately needed to get the salt and sand washed off it.

Alyx thought it was the coolest thing ever and thought it was cotton candy being sprayed on the car =)

We also went and had dinner with friends Saturday.

We went to a local pizza restaurant, and the kids were c-r-a-z-y!  I don't remember Emma ever being as crazy as Alyx is! haha =)  But they had so much fun.

Sunday...well Sunday was spent at work all day and then home to relax and watch some TV.

Lastly, here is a reminder to join myself and a handful of other bloggers in linking up with us between April 12th and the 19th for an Easter Basket Blog hop!

Share with all of what the Easter Bunny is bringing your sweet kiddos!
I hope you will join us =)

I hope you all have a great Monday!!!
