Happy Wednesday Friends =) This week just seems to be flying by for me. Hopefully it's the same for you!!
Back a couple of weeks ago we were finally able to get to camp for a weekend. We used to go out a lot more, but with our busy schedules it's hard to get there. So let's recap that weekend =)
Back a couple of weeks ago we were finally able to get to camp for a weekend. We used to go out a lot more, but with our busy schedules it's hard to get there. So let's recap that weekend =)
Emma rode out with my inlaws, and the dog and Alyx came with us!
The ride there is so pretty.
We are always hopeful to see a moose, but no such luck this time.

As soon as we got into camp Emma wanted her new kayak in the water. Like right then and there. No waiting! haha
And as soon as we carried it down to the water, it went in. She was a happy girl!
And then of course Alyx wanted in on it too.
They had SO much fun just paddling around.
Alyx was as content as can be.
She would have stayed in there all day if her sister would have let her.
They did a ton of swimming. As of this summer Alyx really has no fear of the pool and lake. Which is good because last year she really didn't love it.
The girls played in the water for several hours.
Brian and I sat on the shore and watched them. And of course had our favorite hard cider.
Brian took the girls in mid afternoon, and I ended up sitting out on the beach and falling asleep. It was so peaceful!
Late afternoon we played a game of scrabble. I've never been a huge scrabble fan, but we had a blast. And played quite a few games of it.
Later in the evening we all went out in the kayaks.
I just LOVE this picture of Brian and the girls.
We headed back into camp for of course...S'mores!
We all played another game of scrabble and then headed to bed.
The next morning the lake was so calm that it looked like
it was glass.
The girls went down to the shore and filled up big buckets of
water for Brians dad.
We had a great weekend. And I wish we could get out there again before summer ends.
The girls love it there. It's definitely true camp life. No running water. No bathrooms, we use an outhouse. So it's roughing it for sure. But we like it!
I hope you all have a great Wednesday!!
See you back here tomorrow =)
