It appears as though we will be getting a snow storm!  I'm not complaining, because I feel for all the families and everyone affected by the horrible storms in the Midwest.  Very sad. 

We had a good day today. We picked Emma up from school, and when we got home I had her make her "pop" as she calls him a get well card.  Brians dad had minor surgery yesterday.  And he is doing really well!

We've been playing outside a lot lately in the snow, as you have seen on my last few posts!  Emma has been having a blast!  We haven't done a snowman yet this year though, the snow hasn't been sticky enough for it.  Gunner is doing so well of a leash!  He sticks right by us and listens so well.  He has so much fun playing with Emma in the snow =)

He is getting big!!  Loves playing in the snow.  He's such a good boy and awesome addition to our family!  He will be 7 months old tomorrow! 

Tonight Emma and I went to a couple of stores.  They are having Dr Seuss day at school on Friday to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and they are suppose to wear black & white.  Do you think I could find a black & white shirt for Emma in her closet?  Nope!  So off to the GAP we went.  The second I walked into GAP there was a black & white striped shirt.  SOLD-to me of course =)  And it was on sale which is a plus!  We then went to Old Navy.  At the front of the store at Old Navy they have a few mannaquins.  Emma for some reason loves them.  She decided to pose with them tonight...

We also made brownies tonight.  Or actually, Emma made them.  She's a really good helper!!

I went outside to let the dog in and when I came back in this is what I found....

Tonight Miss Emma and I are watching 101 Dalmations on the Disney Channel.  I love this movie and Emma has never seen it. =)

Tomorrow night i'm back to work for 2 nights, and then I have the weekend off with Brian and Emma! =)  I hope everyone had a great day!

Slidding!!!

I've never been a huge fan of winter.  However....I always have so much fun when we are outside playing in the snow with Emma.  Brian and I both had yesterday off.  I absolutely love having the same days off as him!  Working the schedules and shifts that we do makes it hard.  But we make it work!  And we have an agreement with each other, that the days off that we do have we spend them together as a family.  I'm so glad that I married a man who is just as much a family oriented person as I am.  He is amazing.  Love him so much! =)  Anywayyy.  Yesterday we had a good day!  I got up around 6:30 ish, got Emma ready for school, fed her breakfast and then off to school we went.  I love dropping her off at school.  I bring her into the school and she always gives me a big hug and kiss and then off she goes to her classroom.  I love seeing her walk down the hallway with that big backpack on and all the big kids around her.  She looks soooo small!

After dropping her off I came home got ready and Brian and I went into Bangor to do some shopping.  First we went and looked at new cars.  I'm in the market for one hopefully soon.  But what to get?  My ideal car would be a new Chevy Tahoe...but there is no way I will be paying for the gas for that with the prices of gas right now.  So we have looked at the Ford Edge, which i'm totally in love with!  It has everything in a car I could possibly want!  It's really prettyyyy =)

I also like the new Jeep Grand Cherokees.  Right now I have a Jeep Liberty, which I have had since 2004.  So it's older and I would like to have something larger.  I really have never had any problems with my Jeep.  And the Grand Cherokee is nice too!

Yesterday I found a VW Touareg.  It was really really nice as well.

Every SUV that I have looked at was black or dark blue.  I'm not sure why!  And my Jeep that I have now is black.  Who knows what I will end up with for a vehicle.  But I really like all the ones that I did look at yesterday! =)  Brian and I got to have lunch together yesterday.  It's always nice to be able to have lunch together, just the two of us.  We picked a few things up at Sams Club and then went and got Emma at school.  She was sooo excited because she knew we were going to go slidding.  If any of you live in the south, this is soooo much fun!  Yes it is cold, and it gets tiring walking up the hill, but it's so worth it!

I love her face!  The face of excitement!  I wish this were a video because it was sooo funny!  She was laughing and squeeling!

Completely tuckered out!!!  We took her out for dinner last night and I thought she was going to fall asleep at the table.  She was soooo tired from this =)  We had a great day!  Brian has to work tonight, so i'm not sure what Miss Emma and I will do this afternoon.  Hopefully something fun, it sounds like we are in for a big snowstorm tonight into tomorrow...I'm ready for spring! =)  Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!

Fun in the S-N-O-W!!!

Today we have a really good day!!  My mother in law kept Emma last night since Brian and I were both working.  I picked her up around 11:00, I got to sleep in!! YAY! =)  My mom came down today to visit for a bit.  She lives a little over an hour away so I don't get to see them very much.  We went to lunch at a little sandwich shop in the next town over.  It was sooo yummy!  =)

We came home and went outside to play in the snow we recently got.  In my last post I had mentioned that we didn't have much snow this year.  Well I guess I jinxed myself because right after I posted that I looked outside and it was snowing!  We got about 5 inches or so of snow.  Not nearly the 19 inches that my grandmother got in Northern Maine!  We seriously picked out the best puppy in the world for Emma.  He is soooo good, and loves to be outside and run.  He is really really good off a leash, which i'm thankful for.  I was worried at first because our backyard isn't fenced in, but he stays right with us =)  Here are some photos of Emma and Gunner playing in the snow =)

So that was our afternoon in the snow!  We had lots of fun.  And might I add that i'm pretty darn proud of myself because the scarf that Emma is wearing I knitted!  My very first attempt at knitting =)  I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.  Tomorrow is back to the normal grind for us, school vacation is over for the kids!  =)
