Friday Favorites

It's Fri--daayyy!!! And it's the Halloween weekend at that!  Today I am linking up with Narci, Andrea & Erika today for Friday Favorites!

Did I mention it's Halloween weekend?

Yup.  This pretty much sums it up!!!  I'll be completely honest with you...Halloween isn't my favorite.  Love fall, but Halloween is kind of eh with me.  I try and make it as fun as possible for the girls though.

One of my favorites from this week, was showing off the fall goodies I got in the Fall swap I did!

If you missed that post you can find it HERE.

I posted earlier in the week the photos I took of my girls, and thank you, thank you, thank you for all your kind words!!  You can find that post HERE

I love taking photos, and want to learn as much as I can.  Also...I really want to order some of these on a canvas...any tips on a good place to order from that is fairly inexpensive yet good quality??

Basketball has started for Emma, and she has found it's not like it was last year! HA!  They are actually really learning the sport this year rather than just playing around.  By the end of her 1 1/2 hour practices, she's exhausted!

At least she still loves it!!!  They don't have their first game until December.  So until then it's 2 1 1/2 hour practices a week!

All week I racked my brain as to what I could send in with Emma for school today for a Halloween treat, and then it hit me...Ghost pops!  Super super simple and I know the kids will love them.

I absolutely love when our New England Patriots win a know why?  This is why...

Patriots Win, You Win!  Free coffee the next day...any size!  And so far we've had a free coffee after every game this season =)

And lastly...I hope you all have a great Friday and Weekend...and of course...

The Guy Behind The Blog {October}

Happy Thursday!  So today I had a post all ready to go, and then I noticed a few bloggers that I read daily linked up today with Betsy from Heavens to Betsy, for a fun linkup titled "The Guys Behind The Blog".  It seemed fun, so today I am joining in!!

I talk about Brian on here a lot, but today he is the one answering the questions!!  He has 5 questions to answer, So let's get started!

We're headed into fall, which means cooler temps for most of us...are you a warm weather or cold weather kind of guy?  Warm weather.  I freaking hate everything about winter.

What's the best Halloween costume you've ever worn?  GI Joe.  I was seven when I wore it.  And I really wanted to be in the Army.

What's your favorite Halloween candy?  Reese's peanut butter cups.  They are delicious.  They are sweet morsels made by angels.

What are your favorite parts of fall (ex: football, the weather, Thanksgiving, etc)?  Hunting season.  Being at camp and playing cards.  The leaves changing on the trees.

How do you feel about pumpkin spice lattes?  I think they are delicious!

His questions made me giggle a bit.  I will definitely linkup again next month =)

Fall Blog Swap {Reveal}

Today is the day, ladies!  We are linking up today to show off all of our goodies we got in the Fall Blog Swap =)

I was paired with Stephanie from Wife Mommy Me.

It is always fun getting to know a new blogger!  Stephanie is from Ohio, and she has the cutest little boy ever!  And she totally nailed this swap!!  So let's get started!

I mean, who doesn't LOVE getting a package delivered to them!  Especially when it's a total surprise and you have *no idea* what's inside!  I wanted to rip into it, but I contained myself...a bit! hehe =)

When I opened the top this is what I found when I removed some bubble wrap...

Do you see that Starbucks box?!?!  I instantly knew what was inside and I was sooo giddy!

Some candy, Essie nail polish (which I love the color!) Hand sanitizer, a nail file and a Starbucks Mug from Ohio =)

Stephanie definitely nailed this swap!  I am *slightly* obsessed with the Starbucks mugs...I now have 5 =)

Thank you Thank you Thank you Stephanie, for all of the goodies!  It was fun getting to know you =)
Also thank you to Desiree & Bri for co-hosting this swap with me.  I hope you all had as much fun as I did with it.  Make sure to link up to show off your goodies!  Also, if you want to show all your fall goodies off on Instagram, use the hashtag...#ForTheLoveOfFallSwap

I'm excited to see what everyone received =)

Fall Photos {2015}

Every year I get the girls photos done.  Fall is my absolute favorite time to have them done.  However...the weather the past couple of years didn't cooperate at all for outdoor photos.  This year I decided since it wasn't too cold out, and I have the equipment to take the photos...then why not just do them myself.  I love photography.  Like, love it.  Do I know a lot about it?  No.  Do I want to know more about it?  Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!  I only shoot in raw mode, and have recently started shooting only in manual mode as well.  I still have a TON to learn about manual mode, but I'm learning.  So here are the photos I took of the girls.

I am definitely happy with the outcome! =)  I'm also happy that not one, but BOTH girls completely cooperated the entire time!  It helped that I had Brian there with me to run after Alyx when she decided to run away ;)  And I also found that tootsie rolls help too =)

I plan to continue to learn more about photography, and I hope to only get better with time and practice.  If you have any tips for me...please please share!!  Happy Tuesday!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, Friends!  I missed this linkup last Friday, so I'm glad to be back today!  Linking up with Narci, Andrea & Erika for Friday Favorites!

One of my favorite things ever are French Macarons.  When we went to Disney in April, we made a stop at the French Pavilion in Epcot just for a french macaron.  They were amazing!  I haven't been able to find any around where we live that even begin to compare to them.  A co-worker went to Massachusetts last weekend and came home with a box of real french macarons for me!

They were ahh-mazing!!!  I really didn't want to share with Brian, but I did ;)

Basketball season has started for Emma!  I hated to see Field Hockey end, but I am now thankful for an indoor sport where it's warm =)

Emma will have 2 practices a week and one game every week.  She'll be busy that's for sure!  But she loves it.

My girls.  The love they have for each other is simply amazing.

Don't get me wrong.  They do argue with each other at times...well as much as an almost 2 year old can argue.   But they sure do love each other.

The other night for dinner we had Emma's favorite...

And apperantly it is now Alyx's favorite too =)  Alyx loved the rice!

Do you remember going to the Dentist when you were little and it being a small and very sterile like room?  Emma had an appointment yesterday, and boy have Dentist offices changed since I was growing up!

First she picked out a movie in the waiting room.  This was after she played with the Ipads in the "kids" waiting area.  Then she got all seated in her chair in the office...

And then they started the cleaning...

Yeah.  Heated/Massage chair.  And a flatscreen TV on the ceiling so she could watch Harry Potter =).  No wonder she loves going to the Dentist!! hehe =)

I know I have mentioned this before, but if you've not tried Dunkins' new caramel must!

They are honestly right up there with Starbucks...and I love theirs!

And lastly...It's Friday.....

Yeah...I work this weekend, but I hope you all have a great Weekend!!!

Show and Tell Tuesday

It's Tuesday...and that means I'm linking up today with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday!

Today we are showing past Halloween Costumes.  If I were at my parents house I could scan some photos of me as a kid trick-or-treating, but not today ;)  Today I'm showing off my girls past costumes!

First up...we have Emma at just a month old =)

Our little 5 pound pumpkin.  She was really only 5lbs in this picture, and all this was, was a Pumpkin bib =)  But since it was her first Halloween, we had to dress her up of course!

If Brian sees this next picture, he'll either be mad or laugh hysterically!  Emma's second Halloween she was Raggedy Ann...and Brian was Andy!

I loved her outfit!  We didn't make it trick-or-treating that year because Emma fell and hit her mouth on the coffee table just shortly before us leaving, and it was horrible.  A trip to walk in care, and she was good, but not in the mood to dress back up and get candy!

Third Halloween, Emma was a princess =)  Of Course!

She made a pretty cute Snow White!

My favorite costume was Emma as a bumble bee!

The perfect face for a Bumble Bee =)

And then we moved onto Jesse from Toy Story.

This costume was really cute as well! =)

The following Halloween we were Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz!  I spent wayyy too much money on this dress, but it was worth it.  She looked way cute!!

That same year she was also a Witch for a party.  I quickly put that outfit together.

For her 7th Halloween, I feel kind of bad.  I was pregnant with Alyx due any day and I was miserably sick.  We quickly put a cat costume together for her and she looked cute =)

The following Halloween....Alyx was here and she and Emma were able to dress up together!  Emma decided on Anna (from Frozen) of course, and Alyx was a chicken!

This year our costumes are still kinda "up in the air".  We will figure something out soon though, and I'm sure the girls will be cute!!

I'm anxious to see what everyone else's costumes be sure to link up!

Happy Tuesday, All!!!! =)
