Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are stuffed full of turkey!  We had a really great day yesterday.  It was the first time in about 3 years that we were able to have Thanksgiving at my in laws hunting camp.  There is just something about having at camp that makes it better.  Maybe because it's in the middle of the woods...in the middle of nowhere and everything gets cooked on an old fashioned stove.  Turkeys were cooked outside in a deep fryer and a ham was cooked in a trashcan outside.  Everything was so good, and it was great being with family.  It would have been just a little better if my parents were able to have been there with us.

Our little family of 4 =)  I can't believe that Alyx is 3 1/2 weeks old and this is our first picture as a family of 4! =)

So how many of you went out black Friday shopping?  The only place Brian and I went was Target this morning.  And to my surprise it wasn't busy at all!  We got a few things, but not a ton.  I still have so much Christmas shopping to do!!

Cause I know you all just wanna know, i'm feeling somewhat better.  Taking it day by day.  I had appointments with my doctor all week long except yesterday.  I went again this morning, and he did say it's looking a little better, but it's not healing as fast as it should or as fast as he would like it to.  I'm on another antibiotic because he is afraid it could be infected =/.  I can't even begin to tell you how amazing my doctor is.  He has been super through all this, and is even seeing me in his office over the weekend so he can continue to drain my stomach area.  Not many doctors will see you in their office on weekends when they aren't even working.  

I think today we are going to hang out at the house for the rest of the day, maybe have some hot cocoa and watch Christmas movies!!

Dr's Appointments after Dr's Appointments!

I thought for sure after I had Alyx these trips to the doctors office would stop!  Apparently not with me.  So I had another appointment this morning for my c-section issue.  I'm still draining =(.  I'm on yet another antibiotic and hopefully this one will do the trick and things will get better.  My doctor is amazing though, and he's on top of things.  He knows i'm in pain so he said this morning he wants to see me at his office every morning this week (except Thanksgiving day).  I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying that by the end of the week i'm back to my normal self! =)

Anyway...my brother in law has been awesome and watches Alyx while we go to these appointments so we don't have to drag her along with us.  Plus it gives him time to snuggle with his niece =)  After we got home this morning I took some pictures of Alyx during her tummy time.  She LOVES to be on her tummy!  When we are sitting with her, she would much rather be on your chest cuddled up on her belly than laying on her back.  She's so darn cute =)

Gunner has been *very* interested in her.  I was kind of nervous at first when we brought her home because he really wanted to just get right in her face.  I think he thought she was a doll at first, and then she made a noise and moved and it kind of startled the dog.  But the last couple of weeks he has "bonded" with her and loves to lay with her.  He sits by her bassinet when she whines or cries, and then he whines himself.  They are certainly becoming best buds =)

So tonight is my first official night at home alone with both kiddos.  Brian is working all night tonight, so it should be interesting to see how it goes!  I'm not quite sure how you moms with more than 2 kiddos do it.  I give you lots of credit that's for sure!!!  =)

First of all, I'll update you all on how i've been feeling lately.  My answer...so-so.  I'm still not 100% better, and probably not even close...but i'm getting there.  I went to the doctor almost every single day last week, and I have another appointment tomorrow.  Basically they have told me I have a seroma behind the area where I had my c-section.  It's a build up of fluid behind the incision, that has no where to go other than out the incision.  It's beyond painful, I can't bend over, and I feel like i'm walking like a 95 year old lady! haha  My doctor has been draining it at every appointment we have, and there is still fluid there.  At my appointment on Friday he put a drain in to keep in over the weekend and tomorrow he will take it out.  I'm hoping that tomorrow goes good!!  I'll make sure to update tomorrow as well =)

Anyway...enough of me complaining about me!  My mom came down on Friday and spent the entire weekend with us =)  Brian hasn't worked since Alyx was born, and he has been beyond amazing.  He went back to work Friday night and I was so sad.  =(  He works again Monday and then he's off again until Friday.  I don't know what I would have done these last few weeks without him.

We celebrated my mother in laws birthday today, and finally got a good photo of all the grandchildren!  The 5 girls.  And, we also found out the other day that we are finally going to have a boy in the family!!!  My brother inlaw and sister inlaw are expecting their 3rd baby in March, and it will be a boy! =)  That poor boy is going to be stuck with 5 female cousins! hehe

I hope you all had a great weekend...it's time to start getting ready for Thanksgiving!! =)

Thank you all for your messages about my last post.  I'm starting to feel somewhat better, and I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon.  Hopefully everything goes well and i'm no longer in pain soon!  I'm finding out that I would have been no good on bedrest while pregnant...because the last week stuck in the house not being able to do anything has been horrible.  But today I have felt that i'm walking better and in less pain, which is good!  Keep your fingers crossed for me that it gets much better =)

Anyway...Our photographer we had come to our house last week got our pictures done, and all I can say is i'm in LOVE with every.single.one.of.them!  Here is a peek at them =)

I knew Brian would love these and he does =)  I'm sooo happy with the way these photos turned out!  We should have had a few family pictures taken...but I wasn't quite in the mood that day to have my picture taken! haha  Oh well, we'll have them done again sometime soon! =)
