Progress

So my last post I posted that I was trying out this whole diet thing. I have now been 11 days! I think this is the most I have ever stayed on track with dieting. I'm starting to feel really well! I have cut out sweets and soda completely. This was sooo hard at first and still is. There have been numerous evenings when I have been home and have just wanted to go into the cupboard or freezer and get something chocolate and sweet. But this time I have completely put my mind to it. I feel a lot better already too. I'm not sure how much weight, if any, I have lost yet as my husband took the scale away from me! haha We'll get it back out in another week or so and we'll see if I have progressed at all. I'm excited about this and i'm hoping and praying that I will be able to stick this out. I need and want to get healthy. My blood pressure has been really high in the past and i'm hoping that maybe changing my lifestyle a bit will help with this. =)

Emma had decided that she wanted to get her ears pierced. Well, to be quite honest i'm not ready for that yet. That kind of means she is growing up. =( Plus...I had told her when she is able to take care of them, clean them and everything else that goes along with it, then she could get them done. I really didn't think she was ready for that yet. Sooo after a lot of crying, I had an idea! I took her to the mall and we went into Claires and I got her a big package of magnetic earings! When she wears them they look just like she has her ears pierced! She was sooo excited that they look real. We put them right in, and by the time we got home she said her ears were itchy and she wanted them out. So after explaining to her that if they were real she wouldn't be able to take them out, she was happy she didn't do it quite yet. =) I took a picture with my phone and texted it to my parents and my husband. They all thought she had actually had them pierced! Here is a picture taken from my phone.
Soooo on another note. Since we are leaving for Florida in ohhh 80 days or so, I decided it is time to lose some weight. I'm not going all crazy with exercise and all that just yet. I'm just cutting back, eating healthier, more veggies and fruits. I'm addicted to diet coke bad. I love it. I'm on day 4 now without any caffeine at all, and no sweets. I've been making pita sandwiches for lunch with turkey, tomatos & alfalfa sprouts. It is sooo good! This morning for breakfast I had a 1/2 of a toasted multi grain sandwich flat with an egg white topped with salsa. Sound yucky? It totally wasn't! It was super yummy!
Today is Superbowl Sunday! It will definately be hard to pass up all the yummy food today, but *I WILL GET THROUGH IT*! =) We're hoping for a win from our Pats today!!!! =) I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend!!!! =)

A Princess Makeover!

I'm sooo incredibly excited about going to Disney in like 84 days, not that I am counting or anything! =) I have been to Disney more times than I can count, but now that I am a mom to a 5 year old that is into everything Disney, it's much much more magical than ever! My parents always brought me every year when I was growing up. We had a great time, but Disney has changed so much over the years. One of the things is the Bippidy Boppidy Boutique!!!!! They never had that when I was little! With Emma being 5 years old and all this is the perfect time to visit the boutique! I made the reservations for it this evening. They have 2 locations, one at the Magic Kingdom and the other at Downtown Disney. I really wanted to do it at the Magic Kingdom, but after reading all the reviews the less busy place seems to be Downtown Disney. I did tell Emma about it, only because I wanted her to choose which princess she wants to be. After looking at the prices of the dresses at Disney, there was no way I was paying that much. She choose Belle and I found a dress online for more than 1/2 the price of the ones at the disney store. I cannot wait to take her their for her Disney Makeover! =)
I have been *terrible* at taking photos lately! My camera is always right there, but lately I haven't grabbed it. Tonight when I was getting Emma ready for bed, I snapped a couple of her and Gunner snuggling. They have become the best of friends. There is nothing like a puppy. We love him so much! =)

VACATION!!!!!
Thursday, January 26, 2012
Last night while I was at work I happened to look at my cellphone and I had 4 missed calls from my mother. I thought that was a bit odd, but it was almsost midnight so I didn't want to call her back right then. I was curious all evening what exactly she wanted. Right after dropping Emma off at school this morning I called her back. She told me that she and my father had booked a 2 week trip to Florida in April. I was happy for them, but super duper jealous!! And that's when she said to me, "we want you all to come with us." I was soooo excited!! I cannot wait! I immediately put in for the vacation time at work and it was approved so now we just wait for Brians time to get approved, but that shouldn't be a problem! I cannot wait to go to Disney again with Emma =) We first brought her there in 2009, she was 2 years old. A lot of people told us that we were wasting our time taking her at such a young age, but she remembers a lot about the trip! =) We aren't going to stay 2 weeks like my parents, just a week. But that is long enough! =) We told Emma tonight about it, I thought about trying to keep it a secret for her, but I don't think I would have been able to. She is soooo excited about going. We'll be making a countdown calender in the next few days =) Here are some pictures from our last trip to Disney in 2009 =)
April 24th can't get here quick enough! Sooo excited about our 2012 Disney Trip!!!! =)
