hello Monday

Happy Monday Friends!  I hope that you all had a great weekend, and I hope that you will link up with Heather and I are share your Monday post. Anything goes!!

I am sad the weekend has come to an end already.  We had the best weekend!  So let's recap a bit.
Friday evening Emma went off to her first Middle School dance.  Ugh.  Like how did that happen??  Alyx and I were suppose to have a "date" evening, however 1/2 our town lost power and there were really no restaurants open, so we headed off to Target and did some shopping.  Brian was at camp for the night, until I called him and told him I had locked myself out of the house.  Whoops!  So he ended up having to leave earlier than he expected to come to our rescue. Ha!

Saturday morning we were up bright and early to drop the girls off to my parents.  They kept them for the day and overnight so Brian and I could have a night out.

We dropped them off, headed back home and dropped the dogs off at my inlaws.  Then we were on the road.
We stopped and had a really yummy lunch, and then headed back out on the road.  And then I spotted a winery!  So we stopped and did a wine tasting, and they were all delicious.

These wine glasses were seriously adorable!  They were the size of a shot glass.  I ended up buying a couple and some wine of course.

We also stopped and drove up a mountain once we got to our destination, Camden.

The view at the top was amazing, and it was a gorgeous day.

We headed to our hotel that we were staying at, and it was right on the ocean.  I was hoping the pool was going to be open, but since it's getting so cold here, they had closed it for the season.  We hung out for a while and then got ready and headed to dinner.

We ate at the place on the right, Peter Otts.  The atmosphere was beautiful and it was right on the water as you can see.

We started with drinks and an appetizer of seared bacon scallops with a blackberry drizzle.

For dinner I had Lobster Linguine with a garlic sauce, and it was absolutely
delicious!

Brian had the Hanger Steak with a chimichurri and garlic
mashed potatoes.

Needless to say we were way too full for desert.  I had every intention of ordering the creme brulee, but it didn't happen =)

Yesterday morning waking up with the ocean right out our window was perfect.

I love the smell of ocean air.

We headed back home and got home a little after 1:00.  We watched a bit of the Patriots game and then we carved pumpkins!

And guess what I forgot to do?
Take a picture of them after we carved them!  I'll have to do it soon!!

We had a really great weekend.  I wish it didn't have to end.
I hope you all have a great Monday!
