Thursday Confessions

Good Morning!  And Happy Thursday!  I am joining Leigh from Balancing by Faith today with her Thursday Confessions.  I've not done one of these yet, so let's start =)

{one}

I hate candy.  Like chewy sugary yucky candy.  However in the last year I have discovered watermelon sour patch kids, and I'm addicted to them.  Bad.  There is usually always a bag hidden in my car away from my girls...and husband.  That is the only sugary candy I will eat, however give me all the chocolate in the world!

{two}

I hate when peoples feet touch my feet.  If I am on the couch without socks on, and Emma's feet touch mine...ugh!  I can't stand the feeling of it.  And she does it just to drive me bonkers, I know it for sure.

{three}

I have in the past (once or twice, well maybe three times) changed the clock in the living room ahead by an hour because I was so exhausted and wanted to go to bed and I knew Emma would argue with me that it wasn't time yet.  So when it was actually only 7, the clock said 8.  And she didn't argue and went to bed ;)

{four}

I cannot deal with people who drag their feet.  I really want to just yell at them to pick up their feet and walk normal!  It drives me bonkers!

{five}
I have to sleep with a fan on at night.  If there is no fan, sleep just doesn't happen.  It all started when I was in college and I had roomates who were obnoxiously loud in the evenings, and it was the only way I could fall asleep.  I've even had to download a white noise app on my phone when we were in a hotel once.

{six}

I love love love watching Emma play sports, But I confess I can't handle some of the parents.  They act like these kids are playing a professional sport and forgot that they are in deed kids playing.  I've almost lost it a couple of times with certain parents, but I've kept my cool.

{seven}

When I drive Emma to school I sometimes like to turn the radio up really really loud and start  and singing.  She gets really embarrassed but it's not like I'm doing it while her friends are around...just trying to make her laugh =)

That's all I have for today =)  Thanks for starting this Leigh =)

What's up Wednesday

I completely forgot that today is the What's up Wednesday linkup, so you get 2 posts from me today!  Linking up with Mel, Shaeffer and Shay =)

What we are eating this week...

Monday: Grilled Hot Dogs and onions with watermelon and cantelope
Tuesday: Grilled chicken, parmsean noodles and corn on the cob
Wednesday: Pizza
Thursday: Salads at home with left over chicken
Friday: Up in the air
Saturday & Sunday: We are out of town

What I'm reminiscing about...

Emma is in 4th grade this year, and this coming fall she will be starting 5th grade.  My little girl is growing up and she's in her last year of Elementary school =(
It seems like sending her off to Kindergarten was just yesterday.

What I'm loving...

This seriously warm weather we've been having!  I hope it stays!!

What we've been up to...

Softball.  Softball, and did I mention Softball?!?  It's almost coming to and end, but we've so enjoyed this season!

What I'm dreading...

I honestly can't say I'm dreading anything.  But maybe Emma starting her last year of Elementary school this fall.

What I'm working on...

Sprucing the outside of our house up.  We planted flowers, but I have a few little projects that I want to complete in the next week or so.

What I'm excited about...

Summer!!  Lots and lots of pool evenings!  If you've read my blog long enough than you will remember last summer we spent almost every evening at the pool and it was by far one of our most memorable summers ever.

What I'm watching...

The Bachelorette started the other night, and I love it so far!  Big JoJo fan!

And of course I'm also watching my most favorite show ever...

What I'm reading...

Not a single thing at the moment!  I'm in a book rut I think :/

What I'm listening to...

Right now I'm hooked on the song "Holy" by Florida Georgia Line.  I love love love them!

What I'm doing this weekend...

We are going to my parents for the weekend, and I'm anxious to see family up there.  We also have my cousins little girls Birthday on Sunday there, so the girls are really looking forward to seeing their cousins =)

What I'm looking forward to next month...

Summer v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n!!  Emma has a bunch of summer camps she is doing this year and I am excited for her to start them.  I know she is going to have a blast!

What I'm looking forward to this summer...

Pool and lake days.  Eating popsicles outside.  Late bed times.  Eating dinner outside.  Basically everything that comes with warm weather =)

Have a great Wednesday!  And don't forgot, there are 2 posts from me today! haha =)

Wednesday {Recap}

Well Hello!  Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are all having a good week so far =)  It's been a busy week and this is the first time I have been able to get a post up.  This past weekend was incredibly busy work wise, and the last couple of days I have been playing catch up on all the things that needed to get done at the house. But it's Wednesday, and the weekend is oh so close!!

So let's recap the last few days.  Friday evening, Emma and one of her teammates stood outside our local DQ raising money for their Softball league.

The team all split up and went to different locations.  Emma and Gabby got $94.00 in the 2 hours they stood here =)  Their team alone raised almost $600 in the 2 hours.  They did a good job!

Saturday and Sunday are kind of a blur to me.  Haha, So many people were off from my work, and then a couple called in sick, so my normal 10 hours turned into 14 each day.

Each day I got home at almost 8:30 at night.  By Sunday evening I was drained from getting up so early, working so late and still having to get things done at the house and get the girls ready for bed.  I have never been so glad to see Monday be here and have a day off!

So Monday morning we headed to Lowe's and Home Depot to finally get flowers to plant.  I've been holding off because of the frost we had been getting at night, but i'm thinking and hoping that's past us now ;)

Alyx loved smelling all the flowers and then she started pulling them off...whooops!!  We went home and planted and it was so nice to get it done.

Next time I'm pretty sure I will wear gloves though!  My hands and nails were a mess! haha

We ended up pulling out some concrete blocks we had and I didn't want them to just go to waste so I got on pinterest and started looking for fire pit ideas.  30 minutes later, we had a new fire pit!

Super super super easy!  And so much better than the metal fire pits that rust.
And of course we had to make a fire that night.

We invited our neighbors over to roast marshmallows, and the girls had fun playing in the yard.

We ended the evening with a beautiful sunset =)

I hope you all have a great Wednesday!  And I will see you back here tomorrow! =)
P.S. There is a second post from me today as well, and you can find that HERE. =)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!! =)

I'm linking up today as always with with Narci, Andrea and Erika =) For Friday favorites.

I love the one on one time I get with my girls.  Once a week after we drop Emma off at school Alyx and I head out and run errands and sometimes do a bit of shopping.

And there is always always a stop at Starbucks in there too ;)

Carmel Machiattos...my fav! =)

Wednesday evening Emma had a softball game.  It was a nice evening, not hot and not cold.  Perfect temp!

My niece was the catcher on this night for the other team, and Emma up to bat.

They lost their game, but that's ok.  Emma still had fun and played her heart out =)

Thursday morning was spent like this.

Looking at a new car, and it was stressful.  Alyx was super bored, but she was really good.  And I didn't get a new car.  I'm going to keep looking though! =)

Last night for dinner we had one of my very favorite veggies.  Fiddleheads, and if you've never been to Maine chances are you have probably never had them.

They are amazing, and only available during the spring season.  I have a ton in the fridge that I need to freeze so we can have them this fall/winter.

I hope you all have a great Friday and excellent weekend!!

 Also linking up with Karli and Amy for, oh hey Friday!

 Also linking up with Liz, Christina, Natasha and Darci for, 5 on Friday =)
