Happy Monday Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I also hope you'll grab our graphic and join us today by linking up your Monday post! Anything goes. I'm recapping our weekend today =)
We had such a great weekend! It was our towns fall festival which is always a favorite of ours.
Every year we prep, bake and sell baked potatoes at our City Park for the Knights of Columbus. This year we decided to rename all the potatoes in honor of Christopher Columbus. They were all SO good! Emma had a blast helping sell. Friday we were in the park from about 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
Around 9:00 they had fireworks. And Alyx HATED them!! She freaked right out and Brian had to hold her in the potato wagon so she couldn't see them.
After they were over she was good! And she was happy to see
her cousin Hannah =)
We were exhausted by the time we got home around 10:30. Alyx crashed immediately and unfortunately Brian had to go to work.
The next morning we were up early and headed back to the park.
Emma helped sell coffee, hot cocoa and tea in the morning before the parade.
The parade was great!
We stayed until around 1:00 and then we went and did some apple picking with my inlaws and brother in laws with their families.
After apple picking we were so close to my favorite winery I made the suggestion we stop for a wine tasting and everyone was for it =)
By the time we got home Saturday evening we were exhausted. We were all in bed fairly early.
Yesterday we spent the day at my parents. We didn't do much. I cleaned my car and it pretty much looks brand new now. I think I found about 5 pounds of goldfish under Alyx's carseat! ha!
When we got home Emma really wanted to go and get her nails done. She had birthday money so I told her I would take her.
And of course Alyx had hers painted as well. Emma got gel polish and they came
out really pretty I think.
We headed home after and watched the Red Sox play their last regular season game against the Yankees....and we won =) I'm excited for October playoff games now!
