Recipe Club {Hamburg Macaroni Soup}

It's Recipe Club day!  I hope you will join myself and Heather and link up today and share a favorite recipe of yours!

I have a huge love for soup.  Especially homemade soups.  They are just so good.  When I found this recipe several years ago it was a hit and it still is to this day =)

1 medium sized onion
1 box of elbow macaroni
1 large can of whole peeled tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
2 cups of beef broth
2 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tsp oregeno
1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Start by dicing an onion.  I used a medium size onion

Brown your hamburg and then add your onion.

Add your beef broth

Add all the remaining ingredients.

Boil one box of elbow macaroni until al dente.

Add the macaroni by spoonfuls to your bowl and then add the beef mixture.  I don't add the macaroni directly to the beef mixture because it swells up and absorbs the liquid.

And that's it!  It's so easy and very tasty!!

Now it's your turn!  Link up with us below =)
Have a great day!

Tuesday Randoms

Happy Tuesday Friends =)

Today's post is just going to be random.  I feel like I have to get caught up on the last 2 weeks of missing this whole blogging thing, so why not just throw a bunch of random stuff together! =)

I'm linking up today with the ladies of Tuesday Talk.

First of all, thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday.  I am feeling so much better.  But the bad news?  The rest of my family caught it.  It's horrible.  It seems as thought it has hit Alyx the hardest.  After I got out of work yesterday I brought her to the doctor.

She threw up twice just while waiting for the doctor =(  They also tested her for strep throat, and unfortunately that came back positive.
While we were waiting for the strep test to come back, the doctor was so nice and brought Alyx in her favorite color kool pop.

Lots of snuggles, rest and some antibiotics will hopefully make this one feel better very soon.  Now lets hope that Emma and Brian don't get it quite this bad.

Back a couple of weeks ago I surprised Emma with tickets to the Broadway show Annie.  It was obviously an off Broadway show and it was at the University in the next town over.
I let her choose where we went to dinner first, and she chose Chinese.  Her absolute favorite!

We had so much food, but it was SO good!

We both enjoyed the show a lot.  The talent these kids have is just unbelievable.  The singing, the acting, the dancing, they had it all!

Have I mentioned before how my love for Rae Dunn runs deep?  I'm obsessed with all of her pieces.  I've recently added to my collection a bit =)

These new summery mugs are just TOO cute!  And the bird house, I'm in love with!

I planted my succulents in the flower pots, and it's probably my favorite thing in my kitchen right now.  I love going in there and seeing them on my window sil.

These plants have grown so much since I got them in December.  They were so tiny when I originally bought them. And I am also proud of myself for keeping them alive! ha! =)

I also finally found the Mom and Dad Rae Dunn mugs!  And my first bowl as well!  I don't get why I have had such a hard time finding the bowls.  This is the first one I have ever found.  I'll keep looking for them!
I got the Beach mug and the Hello mug for Emma's teachers.  They both really liked them!  Emma came home and told me she mentioned to one of her teachers how obsessed with these mugs I am, haha =)

Lastly, here is your reminder that tomorrow is Recipe Club linkup with myself and Heather =)

Any recipe goes!

I hope you all have a great day!

$10 at Target

Hello Friends!  Today I have two posts up.  Yup 2!  I've been MIA in the blogging world for almost 2 weeks now, so make sure to check out my hello Monday post by clicking here.

This is my first month as a co-host to this linkup. Not sure what this link up is?  Well, it's pretty easy!  If you go to Target often, then make sure to link up with us next month and show us when you can get for just $10.00.  Or at least close to $10.  It can be anything at all from Target.  I had fun this month shopping and attempting to keep it at our $10 budget.

This month I chose to stick pretty much to the dollar spot.  Normally I can find some good sales in other places of the store, but on this particular trip...not so much.

So here is what I got!

Look at the cute stuff =)

I thought this towel would be perfect for Alyx to bring to daycare this summer.  In the summer they spend a lot of time outside doing water play.

One thing I really wanted to get this summer for Alyx was a drawstring bag to put her wet clothes in it from daycare, so I was excited when I found one at Target.

And lastly...

Alyx loves her some lip gloss.  So when I found this Olaf Lip Smackers on clearance...it went into the basket!  It's too cute =)

So did I stay under $10??

Close...but I went over by $1.01.  Not bad though =)

hello Monday

Well hello!  Long time no blog =) Ha!  I've been MIA from this little blogging world for almost 2 weeks other than one post I got up.  But I am really happy to report today that I am back!!  Link up with myself and Heather and share today whatever you would like =)

First of all, I want to thank all of you who may have checked in the last couple of weeks with me.  I came down with influenza b along with strep throat and I was pretty miserable for a long time.  It didn't help that I was mis-diagnosed with having just "allergies".  I'm glad I didn't listen to that particular doctor and went back a few days later.  Now that my meds are finally kicking and working, I'm feeling a lot better =)  So thank you!!  This blogging community is really amazing at times =)

Today I am recapping our weekend.  We had a really really great weekend.  And I have lots of pictures to recap with =)

Friday after work it started with getting an iced coffee on my way home.

I may have been a bit excited that the college kids in our community were graduating this weekend, so that meant them packing up and going home for a few months! haha =)

Friday evening we had a softball game!  You guys, we have had SO much rain that we haven't been able to play softball or even have practices, so we were stoked to finally have a game!

Emma up to bat.

I mentioned it before, but Emma has decided that she really wants to pitch for the team.  She has had a lot of practice, and still has a lot of practice to do, but she's learning and getting it slowly.

After the game we headed back to my inlaws since they kept Alyx for us.  It was so cold out for her to sit and watch the game.

This year the girls are selling Candy bars for Softball fundraising.  I don't think she will have any problem selling them!

Saturday morning started again bright and early for more softball!

It was an absolutely beautiful morning, and we were glad to finally get back to our field!  With all the rain we've had, we haven't been able to use it.  But a lot of work has been done to it so its useable again =)
Emma was the starting pitcher on Saturday morning.  I was SO nervous watching her.  The catcher on our teams mom was sitting next to me and we were both a nervous wreck watching our girls!  ha!  It's the first year pitching for Emma, and first year catching for Paige.  They are learning to work really well with each other.

They are such a great group of girls.  They lost this game, but they were really good sports about it!

After softball, we headed to Home Depot to get some plants/flowers.

Alyx enjoyed pushing the cart around with my ferns in it =)

She's too funny!!

Yesterday was Mother's Day, and I hope all of you moms had a great day!!  Brian, his dad, and my brother in law spoiled us with a great brunch of Crepes and bacon.  They did everything from make it, to cleaning up.  We didn't have to lift a finger!

Brian is a great crepe maker!

My father in law did the bacon.

My brother in law made us Peach Bellini's and Mimosas.  They were delish!

Look at all those crepes!!!

This picture cracks me up!  Nick was chugging the champagne, my father in law was laughing, and Brian's looking at him like he's something special. Ha! =)

I hope you all had a great weekend as well.

I also wanted to remind you, Wednesday is Recipe Linkup day.  Be sure to linkup with myself and Heather and grab our graphic.  Any recipe goes!

Lastly, I am also co-hosting another linkup today, $10 at Target.  You can find that post by clicking here
