Friday Favorites

It's that time of the week friends!!

Alyx wore her first nightgown last night!  She loved it and I think she thought she was a princess! 

It was a gourmet meal at our house last night!  Grilled cheese, tomato soup and an Angry Orchard.

Can I just say I can't get over the bond that these two girls have.  Emma asked last night to change Alyx's diaper before bed, and while she was helping get her pj's on, Alyx ran to Emma hugged her and wouldn't let her go.  They're so sweet.

And then this morning as I was getting ready for work both girls woke up and cuddled on the couch while I was getting ready.

They love each other and I hope and pray that their bond will always be like this!!

I am finally completely caught up on my very favorite show!  

If you aren't watching this show, you are missing out!  It's soo soo good!

And lastly...

We are ready for Easter!  And I hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Let's Craft

Oh Thursday.  Here we are.  One day closer to the weekend!!  And a good weekend at that.  Brian and I are both off, and Sunday is Easter =)  I also think we are going to my parents house on Saturday for my cousins birthday party.  They are home visiting from Chicago and it's been a while since we have seen them.  It's fun to get together with them when they come home!

Most evenings when I get home from work all I want to do is, nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  But most evenings I try to do something with the girls.  And last night we did some small crafts.

Emma loves to paint.  And I feel like I don't let her do it that often.  Usually I say no because of the mess.  But sometimes you just gotta give in.  So I got all her stuff out before I started cooking dinner, and let her do her thing.

It looks like she is *really* concentrating pretty hard here =)

She painted a wooden cupcake for her teacher.  I think she did pretty good on it!  And because painting wasn't enough, I decided to make little crayons with her.  I forgot how tedious it is to unwrap crayons.  They certainly didn't unwrap well.  Haha But we got them done!

Emma thought they were pretty cool, and since Alyx LOVES to color, these are perfect for her little hands!  

And I can't end this without our countdown picture....

And with snow coming AGAIN this weekend, these next 16 days cannot go by fast enough!! =)

What's Up Wednesday

I had been doing so well at blogging at least every other day...and then time got away from me and it's been almost a week!  So let's do some recapping!

I have to say, I have never ever seen a kid that likes to color as much as Alyx.  Seriously, this kid could color all day long!  And the way she says "color", it's a riot!! 

When she is done with her picture she is always so proud of it too! =)

All ready for school on Monday!  I will be sooo sooo sooo glad when this yucky yucky snow is gone.  It's just gross to look at now.  And then Monday afternoon on my way to get Emma from school it started snowing AGAIN.

We are pretty much over it here in the Northeast. 

Back to Monday morning, Alyx was a sleepy head.  She never woke up until 8:30.  And then until 9:00 she just wanted to cuddle.  I could take a morning like that any day!

 

We are still soo looking forward to our Disney trip!  The girls matching shirts came in the mail on Monday.  I love them!!

I ordered them from TheMommaFish on Etsy.  I love her!  She has made sooo many shirts for the girls =)

Emma still LOVES changing the number on our Disney countdown each morning.  As of today we are down to 16 Days!!

Emma got into the Glee Club at school!  I think she will love it! =)

 

Emma and I made the best chocolate chip cookies the other night!  My mom found the recipe on Pinterest I believe.  It has sour cream in the ingredients, they were by far the best cookies we've ever made!

 

And lastly, I bought a new nail polish color yesterday and I think I really like it!  

This is my favorite brand (as i've mentioned before).  With a little one I really need a polish that is going to dry super duper fast.  And the Sally Hansen dries pretty much instantly!

Friday Favorites

Can I just tell you the bond that Alyx and our dog Gunner share is unlike any other.  Don't get me wrong, Gunner loves Emma, but there is just something about Alyx.  He is so funny with her!

She was balancing a bottle cap on top of his head!  She thought this was the funniest thing ever!  And he just sat there looking at her. haha =)  They crack me up!

Tuesday was celebrated my Birthday! =)  Yay for getting older! lol

It started off with free coffee from D&D.  Can't go wrong with that!

And then can I just say my co-workers are awesome!  I had to come into work for a meeting on my birthday and they surprised me with pizza (buffalo chicken pizza at that) and cake!  Actually I should say, cakes.  As in plural. =)

They were pretty awesome!! 

My parents came down to have dinner with us on Tuesday.  We went to Chilis. So good!

Started with Margaritas of course!

I love this outfit.  Brian hated it.  He thinks Alyx looks like a boy wearing it, and thinks she should be teleported back to the 70's. LOL  

Waiting for Emma to get out of school!

After school yesterday we took Emma to see Cinderella.  If you have not yet seen it...GO!  It is sooo sooo good!

This was right before Brian and I spilled almost the entire bag of our popcorn.  Whooops!!

I hope everyone has a great Friday/Weekend!  It my weekend to work, but we'll make the best of it!!
