$10 at Target

Hello Friends!  Today I have two posts up.  Yup 2!  I've been MIA in the blogging world for almost 2 weeks now, so make sure to check out my hello Monday post by clicking here.

This is my first month as a co-host to this linkup. Not sure what this link up is?  Well, it's pretty easy!  If you go to Target often, then make sure to link up with us next month and show us when you can get for just $10.00.  Or at least close to $10.  It can be anything at all from Target.  I had fun this month shopping and attempting to keep it at our $10 budget.

This month I chose to stick pretty much to the dollar spot.  Normally I can find some good sales in other places of the store, but on this particular trip...not so much.

So here is what I got!

Look at the cute stuff =)

I thought this towel would be perfect for Alyx to bring to daycare this summer.  In the summer they spend a lot of time outside doing water play.

One thing I really wanted to get this summer for Alyx was a drawstring bag to put her wet clothes in it from daycare, so I was excited when I found one at Target.

And lastly...

Alyx loves her some lip gloss.  So when I found this Olaf Lip Smackers on clearance...it went into the basket!  It's too cute =)

So did I stay under $10??

Close...but I went over by $1.01.  Not bad though =)

hello Monday

Well hello!  Long time no blog =) Ha!  I've been MIA from this little blogging world for almost 2 weeks other than one post I got up.  But I am really happy to report today that I am back!!  Link up with myself and Heather and share today whatever you would like =)

First of all, I want to thank all of you who may have checked in the last couple of weeks with me.  I came down with influenza b along with strep throat and I was pretty miserable for a long time.  It didn't help that I was mis-diagnosed with having just "allergies".  I'm glad I didn't listen to that particular doctor and went back a few days later.  Now that my meds are finally kicking and working, I'm feeling a lot better =)  So thank you!!  This blogging community is really amazing at times =)

Today I am recapping our weekend.  We had a really really great weekend.  And I have lots of pictures to recap with =)

Friday after work it started with getting an iced coffee on my way home.

I may have been a bit excited that the college kids in our community were graduating this weekend, so that meant them packing up and going home for a few months! haha =)

Friday evening we had a softball game!  You guys, we have had SO much rain that we haven't been able to play softball or even have practices, so we were stoked to finally have a game!

Emma up to bat.

I mentioned it before, but Emma has decided that she really wants to pitch for the team.  She has had a lot of practice, and still has a lot of practice to do, but she's learning and getting it slowly.

After the game we headed back to my inlaws since they kept Alyx for us.  It was so cold out for her to sit and watch the game.

This year the girls are selling Candy bars for Softball fundraising.  I don't think she will have any problem selling them!

Saturday morning started again bright and early for more softball!

It was an absolutely beautiful morning, and we were glad to finally get back to our field!  With all the rain we've had, we haven't been able to use it.  But a lot of work has been done to it so its useable again =)
Emma was the starting pitcher on Saturday morning.  I was SO nervous watching her.  The catcher on our teams mom was sitting next to me and we were both a nervous wreck watching our girls!  ha!  It's the first year pitching for Emma, and first year catching for Paige.  They are learning to work really well with each other.

They are such a great group of girls.  They lost this game, but they were really good sports about it!

After softball, we headed to Home Depot to get some plants/flowers.

Alyx enjoyed pushing the cart around with my ferns in it =)

She's too funny!!

Yesterday was Mother's Day, and I hope all of you moms had a great day!!  Brian, his dad, and my brother in law spoiled us with a great brunch of Crepes and bacon.  They did everything from make it, to cleaning up.  We didn't have to lift a finger!

Brian is a great crepe maker!

My father in law did the bacon.

My brother in law made us Peach Bellini's and Mimosas.  They were delish!

Look at all those crepes!!!

This picture cracks me up!  Nick was chugging the champagne, my father in law was laughing, and Brian's looking at him like he's something special. Ha! =)

I hope you all had a great weekend as well.

I also wanted to remind you, Wednesday is Recipe Linkup day.  Be sure to linkup with myself and Heather and grab our graphic.  Any recipe goes!

Lastly, I am also co-hosting another linkup today, $10 at Target.  You can find that post by clicking here

hello Monday

Happy Monday!  I've been MIA from the blogging world for the last week.  But I am back today!  Be sure to link up with myself and Heather for our hello Monday =)

Did you all have a good weekend?  We really had the best weekend in such a long time.  The weather was absolutely amazing.  We spent so much time outside, it was wonderful.  It's really difficult here in the Northeast during winter when our time outside is extremely limited.  So once the snow melts, and the temps rise...you will find us outside!

Brian and I don't get a ton of time off together, but this weekend we were both off which was great!  Friday evening we were at my inlaws for dinner, and the girls played in the driveway with chalk.  I had remembered seeing a picture like this on Pinterest, and wanted to try it with Alyx =)

I thought it came out so cute =)

Just before we were getting ready to leave my in-laws, Alyx took a huge fall on the front porch.  I instantly thought she knocked herself out because the bang was so loud.

Thankfully it wasn't as bad as I had thought, but her poor forehead =(  She cried for so long and had a hard time catching her breath.  It's horrible when our babies get hurt.

Saturday was opening day for Softball!  Last year Emma played for the Subway team, but Subway decided this year they didn't want to sponsor a team.  So they had to scramble to find a new sponser.  Dysarts, which is a local store stepped in, so Emma is playing for them this year.  Plus I love their new uniforms =)

She's so grown up!  She played 1st base which she was really nervous to play.  She usually plays 2nd.  But, she rocked 1st base!!  Her team won 14 to 11.  So of course a win, called for an ice cream cone after =)

Sunday we literally went outside at 9am and stayed outside until 8pm.  We did spring clean up in our yard and my inlaws.  We got so much accomplished.
Emma had a blast because she was able to drive the side by side while we were picking up the yards.

We ended the evening with ordering out pizza with the family and eating outside while we had a bon fire, burning all the brush we picked up during the day.

I hope you all had a great weekend as well!  See you back here tomorrow =)

Recipe Club {Crockpot Meatballs}

Happy Wednesday Friends!  It's Recipe Club day today =)  If you have a recipe you want to share, be sure to link up with myself and Heather.

I know I have posted this recipe before, but it was a long long time ago.  I love an easy recipe, and most all of the recipes I share with you are simple.  But people...this one is simple and fool proof!  I love a good meatball appetizer.  Especially one that is delicious and tastes like you spent hours putting it together.  A few years ago a co-worker brought these to work, and I immediately demanded the recipe =)  I've made them now more times than I can count, and they are always a hit.

Start with 1 package of Frozen Italian Style Meatballs into your crock-pot.  You could even make your own meatballs if you have time.
Mix up in a bowl the following:
3 cups Ketchup
3 cups Brown Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard (which I forgot to put in the picture)
Mix all of the above together and pour of the frozen meatballs and stir it all up.
Cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours.
They are delish!  You could really even make a meal out of them and serve them with rice.  I typically just make them to serve as an appetizer.
So now it's your turn.  Share a recipe with us by linking up below!

Have a great Wednesday!! =)
