Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!! The weekend is almost here, and though I work this weekend, I'm still glad it's here.  Linking up as always today with Narci, Andrea and Erika =)

 

Our week was filled with softball, and softball, and well more softball.  I'm not sure I mentioned it previous, but Emma's team *finally* won a game!  They are such a new team and pretty much everyone on it, it's their first year playing.  Emma has so enjoyed playing this season =)





I love coffee.  Have I mentioned that before?  ha ;)  I also have an obsession with the Starbucks you are here mugs.  Have I mentioned that before too?? haha  A co-worker went on vacation last week and brought me home a new mug =)


I love having these mugs from all over the country =)

My first day off after working is usually a morning/afternoon of Alyx and I running errands.  She loves going to the store.  Now I can't say she is always an angel while we're running errands, but for the most part she is pretty good.


All dressed and ready to hit a few stores =) 
And of course we always stop for coffee too!


I'm absolutely loving the new Dunkin Donuts Almond Joy iced coffee.  If you like coffee, and almond joy candy bars...you are sure to love this!

For several weeks now I have been "car shopping".  I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted, but I did know I wanted to get rid of our van.  It's not that I hated the van, but we started having a few problems with it and nothing stresses me out more than car problems.  Okay, daycare issues stress me out more, but car problems comes in a very close second!  I went back and forth with a couple of different vehicles and yesterday we sat at a dealership for what seemed like forever.  It was pretty mcuh all morning/afternoon we were there.  


Why do they make this process so long!?!  Anyway, I left the dealership with a new SUV.


It's the new Ford Escape.  I pretty much love it.  It's obviously much smaller than my van, but Brian has an Explorer that has a 3rd row seat, so in reality I didn't need anything big.  Alyx got in it after I picked her up from daycare and she was so funny!  It has a full moonroof that goes the entire length of the roof and she kept saying "look!  I can see through the roof!" haha =)  It was cute =)

Don't forget Heather from My Glittery Heart and I have a new Recipe Club linkup that is starting on the 15th of this month!!

Pinspiration Wednesday {Summer Bucket List}

Happy Wednesday!!  I love the first Wednesday of the month, because it means I am linking up with Justine, Erica and Leigh for their monthly Pinspiration Wednesday =)  First of all, Happy June!!!  Emma has 8 days of school left, and she is beyond excited for summer vacation =)  I am too, no certain bedtimes and we can have some fun summer days and evenings =)  


Today we are sharing our Summer Bucket List.  So here is ours!


It's simple, and that's the way I like it.  I got the idea of Breakfast in the park from Justine.  She has started a tradition by going to the park the first Saturday after school ends, and seriously that just sounds like so much fun!  We'll pick up something quick whether it be doughnuts or muffins (Hurry up Krispy Kreme and open here!) and I think the girls would love it. 

We have a drive-in here that opened last year and we have yet to go, so this is the summer we will go!
Visiting the ocean!?!  Yes Please!!!  

We have always wanted to put glow sticks in my moms pool at night, and Emma will be thrilled to do this =)

And watermelon popsicles!  We love watermelon around here, like really love it!  I got the idea from Pinterest, and they look pretty easy to make.

And there is not a single kid out there that isn't going to say at least once...okay maybe a dozen times over the summer that they are bored. Because lets face it, we can't be on the go every single minute of every day during the summer.  I found this and I think it is a genius idea!!


I am definitely making this!!!  You either get lucky and get something fun to do, or you get a chore =) 

 We plan to make summer easy and fun.  It's our most favorite time of the year.  Popsicle's, watermelon, water play, and just having fun!!!

Pinspiration Wednesday {Summer Bucket List}

Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you were all able to enjoy a long weekend =)  Yesterday I linked up with Andrea and Erika for their Let's Talk, so today I am doing a weekend recap!  
We really had a great weekend.  The only thing that would have made it better is if Brian had been off from work as well.  He didn't work all weekend, but a good part of it.  So Saturday morning we got up fairly early, watched TV and enjoyed a cup or two of coffee  =)





I am so in love with the Coffee mug that Heather from My Glittery Heart made.  It came out just perfect =)
We were *finally* able to get to the Farmers Market on Saturday!  It had been soo soo long, since last Fall to be exact.  The girls love going as well.




Emma picked out a homemade whoopie pie, and Alyx got a chocolate chip cookie.


We could not have asked for better weather on Saturday.  80's and sunny!  I wish every day was like that for sure =)

Emma and I hit up Starbucks after the farmers market.


Emma had a Carmel Frapucciono and she said it tasted just like butter beer from Harry Potter at Universal Studios =)

Late Saturday afternoon we headed to my parents house, they live a little over an hour away.  They took us out for dinner and we had Lobster rolls....so so good!


One of the perks of living in Maine is fresh lobster rolls pretty much anywhere, at any restaurant.  Even at McDonalds!  =)

Sunday we went to my cousins daughters Birthday party.  The kids had so much fun playing.  They get along so well that I wish we lived closer.


Emma and Madison schemed together and decided that they really wanted to have a sleepover that night at Madisons house.  I wasn't really certain how Emma would do, she's only slept at one of her friends houses once, and I ended up having to pick her up at midnight because she was homesick.  ha!  But she did awesome!!


My cousin sent me this picture Saturday night of them getting ready to watch a movie =)  

Sunday we headed home in the afternoon, and Emma stayed at my parents since she didn't have school yesterday.  Brian and I ran a ton of errands, and ended up getting sushi to go, and ate it in the car.  That was a first for sure =)


Last night we took the girls to DQ with our neighbors for some ice cream.  Alyx had her first mini blizzard and she thought it was great =)

We had a really good long weekend, and I wish we had more weekends like this.  

And don't forgot!  Heather from My Glittery Heart and I have a recipe club that we are starting. The first linkup with be 06/15!
