Friday Favorites

It's Friiidayyy!!

So that means today i'm linking up with Andrea, Narci & Erika!  Like i've mentioned before, it's my favorite linkup!  So join in!

Have I mentioned it's Friday?!?  Well Friends, it's Friday!

At daycare this week the older kids made "Egg" babies.  Basically it's an egg that they decorated, made a bed for it and had to take care of it for 24 hours without breaking it.  Emma loved hers.  She named it Grace.  She rocked it, fed it and put it to bed.  Too cute =)

These girls just make my heart smile over and over again <3

Emma made her and I an icecream sundae the other evening after Alyx went to bed. It was so yummy!

If you don't have one...after you are done reading this you need to go to a store and buy one! HA! =)  

And lastly.  We are in for a weekend of sun, and fun.  Probably strawberry picking tomorrow morning, some yard sale-ing, and then we are heading to my parents for the rest of the weekend.  I see a lot of pool time in our future!

Thursday * Favorite Things

I love to read blog posts where people post some of their favorite things.  It never fails that I end up finding/trying something from a post i've read and end up falling in love with it.  So today I thought I would do a post about some of my favorite products and other loves!

Okay, to start off, The Wet Brush.  

I'll be honest, I was very skeptical of the wet brush.  It looks just like a normal brush, but sooo many people have posted/blogged about this thing and how awesome it is so I decided to give it a try.  I went with the small/travel size to start with.  Let me tell you what...this thing is AMAZING!  I don't understand why it works so much better than a normal brush, but it does.  When I was brushing Emma's hair after her shower last night there wasn't any crying, whining or whimpering at all.  It's amazing people...buy one!!

My Second Favorite is the Aveeno Positively Radiant Facial Moisturizer.

When we were in Florida I left my normal facial moisturizer at home by accident.  Alyx's godmother spent a few days with us and she let me borrow her moisturizer, and I fell in love.  I immediately went and bought my own bottle.  And I really like that it has an SPF in it.  I have the SPF 15, but you can also get an SPF of 30 in the same moisturizer. 

My third favorite is a new to us product as well.  Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo.

I've always used Johnson & Johnson on both my girls.  However Alyx, has had a small case of cradle cap that I just have not been able to get rid of.  It wasn't horrible, but it was enough to bother me.  So I switched from Johnson & Johnson to this Aveeno baby, and the results have been amazing with Alyx!  And to be honest, i've always loved the smell of Johnson & Johnson, but this Aveeno smell is amazing!

Another favorite that I have been using for a long time is Maybelline Falsies Mascara.

I don't wear a ton of makeup, but I do wear mascara almost everyday and this stuff is awesome!  

Shampoo.  My hair is thick thick thick.  And I find that really cheap shampoos don't work at all for me.  But recently I found and love Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner.

I just love this shampoo & conditioner!  And bonus it smells amazing!  And where my hair is so thick, I honestly feel like I don't need to use nearly as much of this shampoo as I do with any other shampoo & conditioner.

And while we are on the topic of Organix, I love their Moroccan Argan Oil Lotion.

Definately try it!

My go to body spray is the Bath & Body Works Secret Wonderland spray.

And bonus right now it's on sale for $7.00 =)  You can find these on sale quite often.  I tend to stock up when they do their Buy3 Get3 Free sale.

My go to hand sanitizer is Bath & Body Works pocket size size hand sanitizers.

Emma loves this stuff!  And it's a great size too!

Summer Days

Before summer started, I made a vow that on my days off I would get out of the house with the girls and actually go and do fun summer things.  I thought about doing a "bucket" list and cross things off as we go, however if we didn't get to some of the things on the list this summer then I would feel guilty, so we have kind of done things on a whim this summer!  And we've had so much fun! 

So let's back up to the 4th of July.  It was pretty low key this year, but we had a lot of fun still.  The girls and I went to my parents for their towns parade and then my mom had a bbq for her side of the family.  Brian wasn't able to go since he had to work.

That pretty much sums up our life.

I almost always do some cute 4th of July shirt for the girls, but this year I didn't.  The girls were still dressed pretty cute I think =)

The girls loved the parade, and met up with their cousins.

I was terrible and I think this is really the only picture I took at the parade.  Emma & her cousin Madison.  

The kids spent the entire day in the pool.  I mean all.day.long.  

Emma is so tan from all the swimming she has done!

Em stayed the rest of the weekend with my parents and we picked her up on Monday.  She had a lot of fun, but she said she was ready to come home because she missed us =)

Yesterday Brian and I were both off from work, so we decided to head to the ocean for the day.  I love that we live close enough that we can head there quite often.

We actually got there when it was low tide, so we decided to look for seashells.  

Just after this picture was taken, Alyx fell and was covered in mud! Ha! =)

We went to the top of Cadillac Mountain and had a picnic lunch.

After lunch the tide had come up so the girls were able to get into the water.  It was kind of cold, but not too bad!

We searched and searched for seashells and seaglass, but this is really all we got this trip.

After swimming in the ocean, we went to where we own our timeshare and used the pool there.  I wish it was an outdoor pool, but it's not.  Oh well, it's awesome in the winter for sure!

After swimming in the pool for a while, we headed home.  We stopped for pizza on the way home!

I definately see more beach days in our future!!!
