Crazy Busy!

I feel like we have been crazy busy lately, on the go constantly.  I'm more than ready for some R&R.  I had mentioned in my last post that I haven't been feeling well.  And unfortunately it only got worse.  I ended up calling out of work sick on Friday.  I was miserable.  I called my doctor to find out if there was anything I could take for meds.    Thankfully they said to take some benadryl and get lots of rest.  My mother in law ended up taking Emma Friday night for me so I could just sleep.  Saturday I woke up feeling a little better.  From the minute we woke up on Saturday until about 7pm we never stopped.  We had to shop for Emma's birthday party Sunday.  That will be another post very soon about her party =)  Saturday night I was forced into work from 7pm to 2am.  I was not happy since I wasn't feeling well, but there really wasn't anything I could do about it.  Sunday was Emma's party, and we had a great time!

Monday was picture day at school.  And Emma's official 7th Birthay!  As soon as we dropped the Birthday girl off at school, Brian and I headed to the doctors office for a baby checkup =)  I was nervous since I have been feeling so horrible, and since my due date for Alyx is basically the exact same date as Emma's due date.  And we ended up having Emma 2 months early.  So yeah I was nervous for this appointment.  We had about a 30 minute ultrasound which was amazing!  We got to see her move around a lot, open and close her mouth, move and wiggle her fingers, and get the hiccups!  I so wished Emma had been there to see all of this too, but she was at school.  We got some really good photos this time too!  Here is one picture of Miss Alyx Grace =)

Some people find ultrasound pictures weird, but I think that they are completely amazing!  We got our first glimpse of what our little peanut is going to look like =)   I'm getting so anxious to finally meet her!!

Since yesterday was Emma's actual birthday and we had her party on Sunday, she of course had to have cake!

And of course I sang Happy Birthday to her too =)
A full post on all her Birthday fun will come soon!

I work tonight and tomorrow night and then i'm off for 2 days.  And you can bet that on those 2 days you won't find me doing anything.  I'm probably going to lay on the couch for 2 full days =)

What I miss?  I still miss sleeping on my stomach.  Trying to get comfy at night is so hard these days.  I also miss being able to walk normal...I feel like i'm waddling!  And I miss playing with Emma.  I get so tired so easily these days.

Looking forward to?  Monday!  Another baby appointment and ultrasound!  Can't wait to see little Alyx again! =)

So the past few days, have been Horrible.  I have come down with a darn cold and it's literally kicking my butt.  It started with a sore throat, and has turned into a full blown cold.  I'm really hoping it goes away soon, because I haven't been able to get out of my own way.  Although I have been working and that's been rough!  It'll soon pass i'm sure!

Apple Picking {2013}

I have been sooo excited to go apple picking this year!  I was finally going to make a ton of homemade applesauce and jar them.  I had plans for apple crisps, and a couple of more apple recipes I found.  Well, we headed out apple picking today after Emma got out of school.  First place we went, Closed.  They are closed on Mondays.  Really?  Oh well, so we drove 18 more miles to the next orchard.  They were open!  So we drove through the orchard and finally got out and grabbed our bag.  Our plan was to pick a bushel of apples.  A bushel of apples is a lot, and only $20 for the entire thing.  Well guess what.  The apple picking this year is Horrible.  With a capital H.  After walking around the orchard for what seemed like forever, I asked Brian how many apples in our bag.  He says, 1.  Really?  Ughh.  We decided to just head back to the orchard store and buy a teeny tiny bag of apples for $6.50.  I was so disappointed.  But I did get to take some photos, so that was a plus!

And as you can see we had to drag Emma out of there =)

So tomorrow I suppose I will make one apple crisp out of the teeny tiny bag of apples that I paid a ridiculous amount for! ha!  Better be good =)

My parents came down and went with us, and treated us to dinner after.  It's nice being able to get together with them and have a meal.

On another note, Emma is just getting over a horrible cold.  She started coming down with it on Friday, and by Friday night she was miserable.  I felt so bad for her.  I stayed home from work on Saturday because she was starting to get the flu type symptoms.  She went to school today, and is doing so much better!

We are hoping to get a lot of stuff done tomorrow around the house.  We have lots of yard work that needs to be done, and I want to get the inside of the house in tip top shape for this weekend.  Emma will be turning the big "7" next Monday, and we are having her party on Sunday.  I cannot believe my little Emma is almost a 7 year old.  Time goes by way to fast.

Baby Update {30 Weeks}

YAY!  We're at 30 weeks as of today!!!  So here is my 30 week update!

Due Date?  November 14th...C-section!

How far along?  30 weeks as of today!  10 weeks left!  I can do this!

Size of baby?  According to my pregnancy tracker app on my phone baby Alyx is the size of a butternut squash and about 3 pounds and 1 ounce.  That is 1 ounce less than what Emma weighed when she was born!

Weight gain?  I'm down another pound.  I had my nurses visit the other day, and i'm still losing.  This doesn't seem right to be pregnant and not gaining any weight!

Maternity Clothes?  Oh yes!  I even made a super quick stop at Old Navy yesterday for a new top.  I'm in desperate need of tops very soon.  The very few I have, i'm tired of wearing! ha!

Movement?  All the time still!  She was moving around while I was at work the other night and everyone was standing around my desk watching =)

Food Cravings?  I.want.chinese.  LOL  I'm craving it soooo badly!

Gender?  Girl!  Alyx Grace

Labor Signs?  None!

Belly button in or out?  In!

What I miss?  My standard answer.  Sleeping on my stomach, and being comfortable at night sleeping.  Uggh.

Looking forward to?  The next 10 weeks.  I'm anxious to get everything in order and and being completely organized for baby Alyx's arrival!

On Tuesday I had a nurses visit at my doctors office.  They just wanted to check to make sure my blood pressure, urine, and weight was ok.  This is around the time when I went downhill fast when I was pregnant with Emma.  So they just want to keep an eye on things.  My weight was good.  Down 1 more pound.  My blood pressure was really good.  But my urine test, not so good.  She said there was traces of protein, blood and white blood cells.  She is certain that I have a uti, however I am having no symptoms of one.  So they are going to keep an eye on it for now and make sure it doesn't get any worse.

Here are a couple of pictures of Emma from today.  She got a new dress for school, and this morning insisted on dressing herself.  When I told her I thought the dress would look better with leggings and flats, she pitched a fit and said she loved how she was dressed.  So light pink tights and sparkle TOMS it was.  Oh well =)

And tonight while she was reading a book, she told us that her throat hurt really bad to swallow =(  I'm hoping she isn't on her way to getting sick.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hoping she wakes up in the morning feeling great!!
