What's Up Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!!  I have the entire morning/afternoon to myself today!  Brian is still out of state, Emma is at school, and Alyx is at daycare and I am off of work today =)  Not much planned bit a little relaxing =)

Linking up today with Mel, Sheaffer, and Shay today!

What we're eating this week...

Well...I'm not really sure.  Pizza tonight before Emma's softball game and the rest of the week is up in the air.  We pretty much have softball every single evening this week.  So I honestly have nothing planned for dinners yet this week at all. Ha!
What I'm reminiscing about...

Yesterday was exactly one year ago today that my grandmother left us here and went to heaven.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss her.

I wish my girls could have known her better.  She was the sweetest lady.  And the most amazing Swedish cook ever!!  I would give anything for her swedish meatballs now!

What we've been up to...

Softball season has officially begun!  Emma has a scrimmage tonight and then the first game is this weekend.

Last night at Practice is was C-O-L-D.  38 degrees cold.  It took a good hour after for my hands to warm up.  Emma was chosen to play on the Old Town Subway Team this year.  She was definately excited to be chosen for a Restaurant team rather than a gas station team! haha She's too funny!

What I'm dreading...

Honestly I am not dreading anything.  Which is good!!

What I'm working on...

I'm really not working on anything right now, but I have been keeping my eye open for an old dresser.  I want to find one and chalk paint it and make it into a TV stand for our living room.  I am thinking of ideas like this.

I am hoping to find one now that Yard Sale season is almost here!!

What I'm excited about...

This!!

It's never too early to countdown to Disney!  Yeah, we are huge Disney lovers here =)

What I'm watching/reading...

I don't have a single book going right now.  And of course i'm watching all my normal favorite shows. All things Chicago!  Chicago PD/Fire/Med. I'm obsessed with all of them!

And of course we are also watching a lot of our favorite baseball team!

We are hoping for a good season!!!

What I'm listening to...

In my car my radio is always always on The Highway

I love me some Sirus XM!!

What I'm doing this weekend...

Softball, Softball, Softball! ha!  Emma's games are this weekend and Brian is playing in a Blue on Blue Softball tournament.  It's a group of local police officers that are playing against our UMaine Hockey team.  It's sure to be a good time!

What I'm looking forward to next month...

Warmer weather and it being almost Summer!!  WooHoo!! haha

Have a great Wednesday everyone!!!

Tuesday Talk {Spring Bucket List}

Hello!  Happy Tuesday =)  I'm pretty certain that Spring is here to stay in Northern New England!  The weather has been really nice lately, some days a bit more chilly than others, but at least the sun has been out and there is no snow!  So with the warmer weather, I figured I should get going on our 2016 Spring Bucket List.  I make these bucket list really really simple.  I've learned that by putting extravagant things on them that in reality it's not going to happen.  So we keep ours simple, yet fun!  Emma helps come up with the ideas too =)

So here is our Spring 2016 Bucket List

See?  Simple!  These are all very doable.  Emma likes to have these on our refrigerator and then cross them off as we go.

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!!

Let's Talk

Happy Monday!  Oh my goodness, what a crazy weekend we had!  In 3 days I worked 38 hours, so I am sooo incredibly happy for Monday to be here and now I have 3 days off.  I'm flying solo most of the week with the girls, Brian is headed off to Cape Cod, Massachusetts again for a work conference.  I tell ya, they send him to the most miserable locations for these conferences ;)   I hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for their series, Let's Talk =)

Today we are chatting about all things hair and makeup.  Routines, favorite products, etc.  If we are being honest here, I don't wear a ton of makeup.  So most of the stuff i'm sharing today are some favorite products.  So let's start!  Here is a look into my bag.

Hair.  I have a ton of hair and it gets so so frizzy.  I don't wear it down all that often, but when I do I spend 18 1/2 hours straightening it ;) ha!  So usually it's up, and I always always have to use a bit of gel, otherwise it's just a ball of frizz.  My favorite is Herbal Essence.

This stuff is awesome for curl scrunching, and it smells absolutely amazing!   My most favorite hairspray is just cheap ole' Suave.

It's cheap, but it works for me!

My face can be really dry, especially in the winter.  I've seriously tried so many face creams/lotions and I have found for my skin that Aveeno is the best.

I love this stuff.  And actually I came across it a year ago when we were in Florida when I had left mine at home.  Alyx's godmother was with us and she had this stuff, so she let me try it, and I have been hooked ever since.

The winter kills my skin.  It get so dry, and the best lotion that I have found to help with the dryness and the itchiness that comes along with it is Eucerin.

Emma and I have both used this all winter and I can't say enough about it.  It works really really well.  If you have really dry skin, try this.  You won't be disappointed!

I have shared my love of the Wet Brush so many times, but I am going to share it again.  Ladies, if you don't have this brush you are missing out!

I think we have 4 of these in our house now =)  You can find them HERE.

Okay, so if you've been reading for any length of time you know that I am obsessed with nail polish. #noshame.  I can't go into a store without checking out their nail polish section.

This isn't all I have.  I have another bag completely full of polishes.  These just happen to be some of my favorites.  I love OPI and Essie.  But I refuse to pay full price for them.  Ulta has an amazing clearance section where you can often find OPI and Essie for no more than $2.00 to $4.00.  I actually went in the other day and got 2 bottles of OPI for a whopping .97 cents!

For Mascara, my go to is Falsies by Maybelline.

Brian's cousin is an amazing celebrity makeup artist and he recommends this as the best drug store mascara.  I first tried it a couple of years ago when I was fortunate enough to have him do my makeup for a wedding.

I had to throw the picture in of me and Daniel ;) Hehe =)

So there you have some of my favorite products.  Link up with Andrea and Erika and share your favorites too!

Also linking up today with Meghan and Biana =)

Have a great Monday!!!

Friday Favorites

Good Morning!  Happy Friday!  We have had an absolute beautiful couple of days here in the Northeast, and this weekend is supposedly going to be nice as well.  Finally spring has found us =)

Linking up today with Narci, Andrea and Erika =)
Softball is in full swing for Emma!  We ran errands the other day and got all the stuff she needs for this season.  A lot of the stuff she had from last year she had outgrown.  Brian took her to the softball field the other day for a bit of practice.

She's doing pretty good!  Brian loves this just as much as she does too I think =)

The weather yesterday was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!  We spent pretty much all day outside.

Both girls had doctors appointments yesterday.  Emma had a well child check for upcoming summer camp =)  And Alyx has yet another ear infection.  We really need to start discussing with her pediatrician about tubes for her ears.  This girl can't catch a break from the ear infections lately.

BBQ and grilling season has officially begun!  There is nothing better than grilled chicken, steaks, and veggies.  Last night we had my inlaws down for dinner and it was delish =)

I have a new favorite marinade for our chicken and it is really good.

It's so good!  We also use it for our pasta salads =)

My brother in law and his family are currently at Disney, and last night we went over to their house to feed their chickens and collect eggs.

Emma loves to feed them.  She asked if we could get some chickens for our house, and I told her she can visit these ones anytime she wants ;) Ha!

My favorite post from this week was my Day in the Life post.  If you missed it, you can find it HERE.  It was fun documenting an entire day, but it was also exhausting! ha! =)

I hope you all have a great Friday and an amazing weekend!!  See you back here on Monday =)

Also linking up today with Karli and Amy for, oh hey Friday!

Also linking up with Liz, Christina, Natasha and Darci for, 5 on Friday =)

And lastly, linking up with Katie, Tiff, Della and Caitlin for, High Five for Friday =)
