Alyx Grace * 5 Months Old *

I cannot believe I am sitting here writing Alyx's 5 month post!  I can't get over how fast the last 5 months have gone by.  Time. Slow. Down!!!

She was super interested about the sticker on her shirt, she kept grabbing for it and of course grabbing her bear too!

She is so smiley and happy!  And you would never know she is pretty sick.  We took her to the doctor yesterday because she has had a "cold" for going on over 3 weeks now.  Yesterday morning she was worse than she had been.  After some testing we found she has RSV =(  We have to do nebulizer treatments on her every 4 hours, and she is also on some new meds.  We're praying she feels better very very soon!!

Here are some stats:

Weight: 13lbs 7ozs

Length: Not really sure because they didn't measure her yesterday

Clothing: 3-6 months

Diapers: Size 2

Feedings: Bottles she takes 6ozs at a time usually every 3-4 hours.

We're also on some solids!  Her favorite by far is sweet potatoes!!

Birthdays all around!

My sister-in-law *finally* had her baby on Tuesday!!  And Tuesday was also my Birthday =)  So my very first nephew and I get to share a birthday!  I joked with my brother in law and said, well apperantly it's not all about me anymore huh?  hehe =)  I couldn't be more excited to share my birthday with this little man!  He's a keeper that's for sure!

 

 

 

 

Meet Kaden.  He's 1 day old in this picture, and he's pretty darn cute I think ;)

 

 

 

Their family is now complete!  They finally got their boy!!  My nieces were so excited to have a brother =)

 

 

 

 

And there is my pork chop next to the little peanut! Haha  She looks gigantic compared to Kaden!

 

We were pretty busy on Tuesday, we spent pretty much the whole day at the hospital waiting for his arrival.  I knew we wouldn't be able to go out for dinner on Tuesday, so Brian and Emma took me out Monday night.  We went to my favorite restaurant, The Green Tea. 

 

 

 

 

Dinner was ah-mazing!  Brian got me a Camcorder for my birthday.  So now I can record the girls all the time!  Emma has already wanted to put on a Frozen concert for me! haha =) 

 

Yesterday was my niece Hannah's birthday.  She was soooo glad that her baby brother was born the day before her birthday! hehe =)  I still cannot believe she was 11 years old yesterday!

 

It's Thursday, and i'm sooo ready for the weekend.  Saturday we are celebrating Brians birthday!  So yeah, Birthday's all around!!! =)

Family Pictures

I have one word for our photographer.  Amazing!  I found out about her when we were pregnant at our doctors office.  I picked up her business card and then scheduled Alyx's newborn shoot with her.  She is such a nice person and I love that she has caputured some amazing photos of our family.  She finished our photos the other day and I really couldn't be any happier with them.  I cannot wait to get these printed off and hung all over my house! haha =) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We didn't get many pictures of Emma & Alyx together, well because Alyx had enough towards the end!  And we wanted to make sure we got a family picture...which we did!
