The Kids Behind the Blog and Stranded!

Happy Wednesday, Friends!  Today there were two linkups that I really wanted to do...so why not do both!  So first off, The Kids Behind the Blog!  I love love love this linkup.  And right now Alyx is too little to answer these questions, so it's all Emma right now =)   Linking up with Stephanie, Beth and Crystal =)

In honor of Father's Day this month, all of the questions are geared towards Dad this month =)

Q:  What do you like doing with Dad?

A: I love playing softball with him.  When I do I learn a lot of new things from him.

Q:  What was Daddy like as a little boy?

 A:  A troublemaker!

Q:  What is Daddy's favorite food?

A:  Cheeseburgers and Sushi.  He loves spicy tuna rolls.

Q:  What does Daddy do at work?

A:  He arrests bad people and puts them in jail.  But he also helps people if they need help.

Q:  What is your favorite memory of Daddy?

A:  4wheeling at camp.  And riding all kind of fun and fasts rides with him at Disney.

I love asking Emma these questions each month, and I always love to hear her answers!  I can't wait to do next moth already! =)

Today we are talking about if we were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 Netflix series would we take with us?

Okay, so I honestly have never seen this series, but I am thinking I would really really like it, Friday Night Lights.

I would most definitely take Fixer Upper with me!!!  I can't get enough, and could watch them all.the.time!

I'm just slightly obsessed with Chip and Joanna.  Just slightly.  

And lastly.  I would take Gilmore Girls.  I just love them!

 

If I were stuck on a deserted island and had Netflix,I think I would be pretty happy!! =)

Show and Tell Tuesday {What's in my Bag}

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today I am linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals for her Show and Tell Tuesday.  These posts are fun.  I think I like them so much because well...i'm nosey!  ha! =)

Today we are showing, What's in our bags =)

Before I had kids I spent my money on bags.  I was pretty much obsessed with anything Dooney and Coach.  My closet is filled with them.  I always say I am going to sell them, and I don't.  Maybe someday!  So for now, here is my bag.

I've had this bag for a couple of years now and I love it.  It's Fossil brand, so not overly pricy.  But it's soft and not stiff.  There is nothing worse than a stiff purse.  

It surprisingly isn't too messy right now.  It seems to get that way often ;)

It's pretty boring!  I always have Ibuprofen and zicam in my bag.  Always.  Sunglasses for both Alyx and Me.  Lollipops and gummies for either of the girls, Band-Aids, you never know when you will need one!  My planner and pens.  My wallet, and a little Vera Bradley coin purse that has my work badge in it.  Gold bond lotion.  And last but not least, my car keys.  Pretty boring! ha! =)

Show and Tell Tuesday {What's in my Bag}

Hello Monday

Well Hello Monday!  I know, I know sometimes Mondays aren't all that it's cracked up to be.  I worked the weekend, so the next couple of days I am off...and I am ok with that!  Before I recap our weekend a bit I wanted to share a new linkup today.  It's pretty simple, and it's simply titled "Hello Monday".  So if you want to link up today, please do!  Grab the graphic and link up with your post today =)

Our weekend was BUSY to say the least.  It's even more hectic the days that Brian and I work.  Saturday after I got out of work I had to quickly get to Emma's first piano recital.  You guys, I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of her!  She did so well =)

She played 3 songs, and I wanted to cry after she played.  Ok, maybe I did tear up a tad ;)  I can't wait to watch her grow as a pianist.

The remainder of our weekend, well mine was spent at work, but Emma had 3 softball playoff games.  Unfortunately they lost the last one, so they are no longer playing. She still had a really good season and grew as a softball player.  She learned so much this season, and is definitely sad that the season is over already, but she is excited for next year.  She has shown a lot of interest in learning to pitch, so we are in the process of finding pitching lessons for her.

We were heading to the store Saturday evening and it had just stopped raining.  When we got out of the car we saw the most beautiful double rainbow.

It has been so long since I have seen a full rainbow like this.  It was beautiful, and really the picture doesn't do it justice at all.

Hello Monday

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!! The weekend is almost here, and though I work this weekend, I'm still glad it's here.  Linking up as always today with Narci, Andrea and Erika =)

 

Our week was filled with softball, and softball, and well more softball.  I'm not sure I mentioned it previous, but Emma's team *finally* won a game!  They are such a new team and pretty much everyone on it, it's their first year playing.  Emma has so enjoyed playing this season =)

I love coffee.  Have I mentioned that before?  ha ;)  I also have an obsession with the Starbucks you are here mugs.  Have I mentioned that before too?? haha  A co-worker went on vacation last week and brought me home a new mug =)

I love having these mugs from all over the country =)

My first day off after working is usually a morning/afternoon of Alyx and I running errands.  She loves going to the store.  Now I can't say she is always an angel while we're running errands, but for the most part she is pretty good.

All dressed and ready to hit a few stores =) 
And of course we always stop for coffee too!

I'm absolutely loving the new Dunkin Donuts Almond Joy iced coffee.  If you like coffee, and almond joy candy bars...you are sure to love this!

For several weeks now I have been "car shopping".  I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted, but I did know I wanted to get rid of our van.  It's not that I hated the van, but we started having a few problems with it and nothing stresses me out more than car problems.  Okay, daycare issues stress me out more, but car problems comes in a very close second!  I went back and forth with a couple of different vehicles and yesterday we sat at a dealership for what seemed like forever.  It was pretty mcuh all morning/afternoon we were there.  

Why do they make this process so long!?!  Anyway, I left the dealership with a new SUV.

It's the new Ford Escape.  I pretty much love it.  It's obviously much smaller than my van, but Brian has an Explorer that has a 3rd row seat, so in reality I didn't need anything big.  Alyx got in it after I picked her up from daycare and she was so funny!  It has a full moonroof that goes the entire length of the roof and she kept saying "look!  I can see through the roof!" haha =)  It was cute =)
