Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all dad's and grandfather's!

First of all, Happy Father's day to my Dad.  He is not only my dad but he is also my hero.  I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for him.  He has been there for me through thick and thin.  And always gives me the best advice.  I couldn't have asked for a better Father =)

And also Happy Father's Day to Brian.  He is the best dad our girls could ever ask for.  They love him more than  I can even begin to say.  He's the most amazing husband as well =)

Happy Father's Day!!!

Alyx Grace * 7 Months Old *

7 Months.  I seriously cannot believe she is already 7 months old.  It's going by so fast!

We don't have a well child check scheduled for Alyx until next month, so i'm not really 100% sure on all her stats right now.

Weight: I'm guessing about 16 pounds
Length: Not really sure, Maybe 26 inches

Clothing: 6-9 months
Diapers: Size 2
Sleeping: Still a great sleeper!  She usually sleeps between 10 and 12 hours a night.
Feedings: Bottles are about 7ozs.  We have not introduced juice just yet.  She also loves her food!  There has not been a single thing still that she has tried that she hasn't loved.  I made frozen watermelon pops the other day and she enjoyed them a ton!

Alyx hasn't shown any interest in crawling just yet.  She can roll over completely.  And she grabs everything still.  Her favorite thing to grab right now is hair.  And Ouch!!  She loves to laugh and giggle.  Just a happy baby!!

Happy 7 months Miss Alyx!!!

Our Weekend

Oh weekend.  Why did you have to leave us so soon??  We had an *awesome* weekend!!  The weather was absolutely perfect!

Saturday morning I packed the girls up and we went to visit Alyx's godmother Tia at the hosptial.  She had a pretty in depth surgery on Friday.  So we brought her some flowers and a bag of magazines and candy for her.  And of course Emma made her a card.  Tia is doing ok, but she's got a long recovery ahead of her.

We took a couple of pictures before heading into the hospital so Tia could have a couple of new pics of the girls to look at =)

After leaving there we went to check out a couple of yardsales, didn't find anything good at all.  And then we headed to my parents house for the weekend.  And I tell you what...i'm loving the van!  We had so much room it was crazy.  And we even brought the dog with us =)

Gunner is so in love with Emma.  He would have sat in her lap the way up there if we had let him!

After getting to my parents Brian and I took the dog and went for a ride.  I love the area around where I grew up.

Emma went with my dad to visit someone at the nursing home, and my mom took Alyx on a walk.  Then we all met at my aunts house for a BBQ.  It was nice for Emma to see her cousins and play with them for the evening.

And as soon as we got back to my parents Emma wanted to go swimming.  The pool was freezing, but the air temp was hot!  So of course I let her.

And as soon as she got up Sunday morning, right back in the pool she went!

And Alyx woke up smiley and happy!

We headed back home around noon and got stuff to BBQ.  While Emma was outside playing with friends she somehow stepped in a nest of mosquitos.  She came home crying hysterically and after getting her into the bathroom I could see why.  And she also kept telling me she had a mosquito in her ear.  I got the mosquito out of her ear, but she was still miserable.

The Benadryl works awesome, and took the itchiness away.  I felt sooo bad for her.

We ended the night with an awesome BBQ.  Steak, Potatoes and corn on the cob.  I love love love summer nights =)

And a happy baby too of course!!

I'm hoping we have many more good weekends like this one was!!

Bike Riding

I'm pretty sure that Summer may have found it's way here....Finally!!  We have had some nice days lately, and i'm sure hoping they stick around =)

This morning Brian and I went to camp for a bit.  Just basically for a drive for a bit.  Anything to get out of the house for a while! ha!  As soon as we got out of the car, the black flies swarmed us.  So unfortunately we didn't stay long at all.  But it was still a pretty drive.

It's pretty beautiful there that's for sure!!

After Emma go out of school we decided to take her on a bike ride.  Well, she biked and Brian and I walked.  I'm thinking I may invest in a bike this summer =)

We have a really awesome bike trail in our town.  I'm not exactly sure how many miles the entire thing is, but it's long I can tell you that much!  We walked probably just over a mile or so.

We opted to take the trail to the University of Maine.  The trails are awesome.  Paved and they are super smooth.

I had planned to put Alyx in just the stroller, but she had other plans of sleeping instead.  So she stayed in her carseat =)

The views on the trail were pretty awesome too!

Emma did awesome and had a blast!  I can't wait for us to go again...maybe next time i'll have a bike to ride =)
And I actually dragged my good camera out with us to get some good pics!  But the rest of the pics are from my phone!

Emma missed the Selfie because she was too far ahead! haha

Alyx enjoyed playing in the grass in our front yard this afternoon.  She's not too sure what to think of the grass quite yet =)

After dinner Emma went out in the backyard and picked me some Rhubarb so I could make a Rhubarb cake.  It's my grandmothers recipe and it came out so good.  Not quite as good as hers though.

That's all I have for now!  Hope everyone has a great Friday tomorrow!!!
