Baby Update {30 Weeks}

YAY!  We're at 30 weeks as of today!!!  So here is my 30 week update!

Due Date?  November 14th...C-section!

How far along?  30 weeks as of today!  10 weeks left!  I can do this!

Size of baby?  According to my pregnancy tracker app on my phone baby Alyx is the size of a butternut squash and about 3 pounds and 1 ounce.  That is 1 ounce less than what Emma weighed when she was born!

Weight gain?  I'm down another pound.  I had my nurses visit the other day, and i'm still losing.  This doesn't seem right to be pregnant and not gaining any weight!

Maternity Clothes?  Oh yes!  I even made a super quick stop at Old Navy yesterday for a new top.  I'm in desperate need of tops very soon.  The very few I have, i'm tired of wearing! ha!

Movement?  All the time still!  She was moving around while I was at work the other night and everyone was standing around my desk watching =)

Food Cravings?  I.want.chinese.  LOL  I'm craving it soooo badly!

Gender?  Girl!  Alyx Grace

Labor Signs?  None!

Belly button in or out?  In!

What I miss?  My standard answer.  Sleeping on my stomach, and being comfortable at night sleeping.  Uggh.

Looking forward to?  The next 10 weeks.  I'm anxious to get everything in order and and being completely organized for baby Alyx's arrival!

On Tuesday I had a nurses visit at my doctors office.  They just wanted to check to make sure my blood pressure, urine, and weight was ok.  This is around the time when I went downhill fast when I was pregnant with Emma.  So they just want to keep an eye on things.  My weight was good.  Down 1 more pound.  My blood pressure was really good.  But my urine test, not so good.  She said there was traces of protein, blood and white blood cells.  She is certain that I have a uti, however I am having no symptoms of one.  So they are going to keep an eye on it for now and make sure it doesn't get any worse.

Here are a couple of pictures of Emma from today.  She got a new dress for school, and this morning insisted on dressing herself.  When I told her I thought the dress would look better with leggings and flats, she pitched a fit and said she loved how she was dressed.  So light pink tights and sparkle TOMS it was.  Oh well =)

And tonight while she was reading a book, she told us that her throat hurt really bad to swallow =(  I'm hoping she isn't on her way to getting sick.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hoping she wakes up in the morning feeling great!!

My Big 2nd Grader!

We're back at it!  School that is!  I can't even begin to tell you how excited Emma has been about starting school.  She was really excited about meeting her new teacher, and was even more excited to find out that Brian and his brothers had her as a teacher when they were little!  I was hoping to meet her new teacher this morning, but we didn't get the chance to.  I'm really excited about this school year for Emma.  I haven't even met her teacher yet, but she seems to be really involved with the students and the parents.  Just from what Emma brought home from school today, I think it's going to be a GREAT school year! =)  I did take some pictures of Emma this morning with my camera...but those are home and i'm at work.  So all you get is a couple of pictures from my phone for now ;)

It was super chilly this morning!!  We waited in the lobby of the school for Emma's big cousin Hannah who is entering 5th grade at Emma's school.  Hannah went to school at a neighboring town up until this year, and was used to having only about 50ish kids or so in the entire school.  In the school that Emma goes to, there is close to 600 kids.  I think Hannah was a bit nervous today!  But we talked to her after school and she did great and loved it!!

My niece Haley on the end is going to kindergarten this year in the next town!  These girls are growing up way to fast!

Emma came home today and is looking forward to day 2 tomorrow!!  Keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of the school year goes just as well today =)

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

The staples commercial.  It's the most wonderful time of the year, when the father is running through the aisles throwing back to school stuff into the cart, and the kids look less than impressed.  So do I think it's the most wonderful time of the year?  No!  To be quite honest, i'm sad that our summer is coming to an end.  The last summer of Emma being an only child too.  Crazy!  We are very excited though about the upcoming months and to meet baby Alyx =)

Emma starts school tomorrow morning.  Bright and Early.  I asked her last night what her favorite thing was that we did this summer.  Her reply...The Taylor Swift concert =)  And then she went on to say, swimming at Nana's, playing with her cousins.  And her list went on.  So i'm glad that she had a good summer, and i'm going to miss having her at home all day with me =(

We had a great weekend!  Brians parents had the whole family at their house on Saturday for Lobsters and clams...yumm!  And Brian made some really great ribs!

The salads were delish too!!

This was one of Brians plate...I think he may have been a little bit hungry! haha

All the kids had a blast playing together too.  And I completely forgot my good camera at home, so no pictures of the kids today.  Just food pictures! lol

Yesterday Emma and I hung out in the morning, and then went and did some last minute school shopping in the afternoon.  The college kids have moved back in town this weekend, and it's starting to get crazy at the stores and in town.  Brian ended up getting called into work last night because they expected huge college parties, but they didn't end up having any!  I told Brian it was a waste of time going into work....but the extra money is definately nice! Ha!! =)

I'll update tomorrow with Emma's first day of 2nd Grade!!!

Baby Update {29 Weeks}

It's that time again!  We're at 29 weeks =)  I can't get over how much different this pregnancy is than my pregnancy with Emma.  I have a nurses visit next week just to check my blood pressure, weight and urine.  My blood pressure hasn't been too bad, but then again being on the bp meds has helped.  So here is my update for this week!!

Due Date? November 14th...C-section

How Far Along?  29 Weeks today!!  And feeling really good =)

Size of baby?  According to an app on my phone, Alyx is the size of a small cabbage at this point and weighing in at about 2.9 pounds!!  Almost 3 pounds =)  That's a huge deal for me seeing as though Emma was born at 3 pounds 2 ounces.  Hopefully Alyx will be bigger!

Weight Gain?  Still losing.  I had an appointment the other day for my GD, and I was down another pound.  So still no gaining.

Maternity Clothes?  Oh yes!  Brian took me shopping last week for some new clothes =)  It was fun, but expensive. Oh well, he told me I was worth it! haha =)

Movement?  All.The.Time.  Man oh Man!  I love it though =)  Emma LOVES being able to feel Alyx kick and move.  She gets the biggest kick out of it =)

Food Cravings?  I'm craving Chinese still.  Soooo badly.  But I will wait until after she is born.  I have told Brian the day that we bring Alyx home from the hospital, that we will be ordering take out from my favorite chinese restaurant =)

Gender?  All Pink!  Alyx Grace

Labor Signs?  None at all.  Lets keep it this way too!

Belly button in or out?  In!

What I miss?  Still sleeping on my stomach.  And being able to sleep all night.  I can't remember the last time I had a full, complete, nights sleep.  I have the hardest time getting comfortable.  And it seems like just as i'm nice and comfy...I either have to get up to use the bathroom or my hand has fallen asleep.  Apperantly the hands falling asleep thing is a pregnancy issue?  Who knew!

Looking forward to?  Getting through the next 11 weeks, and finally getting to meet Miss Alyx =)  I keep having dreams, and cannot wait to see what this baby girl looks like!!

We still have so much to do before she arrives though.  I'm really really starting to get stressed about it.  We are moving Emma's room upstairs, and her bedroom will become Alyx's.  We still have to paint, get a new crib, buy all the new bedding for the crib.  Oh my list could go on and on.

So last night my mother called and asked if it was ok if she took Emma for the day.  They went on a little adventure to the coast of Maine.  Here are some pictures she posted on facebook =)

They went to lunch and Emma had Maine clam chowder!  Yumm!!

Emma even got a little culture on her trip.  They went to the Farnsworth Art Museum.  I wasn't too sure Emma would like it, but my mother said she did.  My mother has a couple of Andrew Weyeth prints, and Emma recognized those being there.  So i'm glad she enjoyed it =)
That's all for today.  One more day of work after tonight, then i'm off for the weekend!  Yay! =)
