And I felt REALLY bad because I ordered a winter jacket for Emma and it hasn't come in yet! So she went off to school today with a fleece jacket which really wasn't warm enough. Hopefully it will be here by tomorrow!!
I mentioned the other night about Emma having her meltdown about a toy in WalMart, and how I ended up taking her to buy Christmas presents for someone else. Today I got my box to put everything in! I think Emma really will have a good time filling it all up! I got the idea to do this from Briana at School in our Slippers =) So thank you Bri for the idea!!! =)
I think by doing this, Emma has learned a good lesson. I hope to do this every year now with her =)
The weather is so unpredictable the past 2 days were in the 80s here and today it's a high of 65 and raining! What a great idea to teach kids to give. I might have to do that with my girls next year so they can understand a little better what it means to give to others
ReplyDeleteOhhh how I would take a high of 65 degrees right now! haha =)
DeleteI'm so not jealous of your snow! I know we will get some more soon. At least it is suppose to warm up a bit.
ReplyDeleteI love the shoe boxes. We use to stuff at school, but kids have lost interest!
Yay! You did it; that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd, you guys got quite a bit of snow!
I did!! And thank you for the idea! Emma really did have a fun time getting the stuff for it, and it was definitely a good lesson for her =)
DeleteEw, snow. We get our fair share here and I am not loooking forward to it when it arrives.
ReplyDeleteOurs is mostly gone now because it rained, but i'm sure it will come back very soon!!
DeleteI"m jealous of your snow! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou can have it!!! haha I really dislike the snow, and I ask Brian every year around this time of the year as to why we live in Maine!!! haha =)
DeleteI'm jealous of your snow, too. It was close to 80 degrees here today. UGH.
ReplyDeleteDon't be jealous =) It takes us that much longer in the mornings to get dressed and out the door. Snow pants, snow boots, snow jackets, hats, mittens, scarfs! haha =) The list could go on...
DeleteUgh we are drowning in snow! It's going to be such a long winter...
ReplyDeleteoperation christmas child!! I totally have to do that this year! Thanks for the reminder!
I have no concept of snow this early in November!! The earliest I think I've ever seen it was on Thanksgiving when I was little!! Snow is really rare for us! No one knows what to do or how to DRIVE in it! It's bad in Texas when it snows! Ha!!
ReplyDeleteSo funny that you are doing the shoebox thing! I just heard about and was thinking about having my Emma do it with me!!
