On the Mend

This last week has been rough to say the least!  I started last Monday with the stomach bug.  Mine lasted just a little over 24 hours.  Tuesday, Brian got it.  His lasted from Tuesday morning until Saturday.  Sunday, Emma got it.  We've been a mess in our house for the last week.  But we are finally all on the mend!  Emma has been almost 24 hours now without vomitting.  Although she says her tummy still hurts, which is to be expected with as sick as she was yesterday.  She missed school today, and honestly I may keep her home tomorrow as well.  Another day of rest and relaxtion might do her some good.

So I don't have much for pictures, but i'll share what i've taken!

I still can't get over how much of a happy baby Alyx is!!

And boy does Alyx love her godmother!!  She was all smiles when she visited =)

And last night I had 2 completely different girls.  One happy, smiley baby.  And one very sick and tired little girl.

I sure hope Emma is back to her normal self again very soon!

One Word

I have one word for you all to describe this post:

FLU.

It has hit our house, and so far Emma is the only one to have escaped it.  Even the baby has been sick.  I am praying hard that Emma doesn't get it.  So no fun pictures here today.
Just hoping we all get better SOON!!!

Can it be??

Can it really be possible that Alyx is almost 4 months old?  And can it be that she is already using an exersaucer?!?  Oh where oh where has the time gone??

I really wish I could bottle this time up.  It's going by faster than I ever could have imagined.  I'm sad that both of my girls are growing up...but i'm also feeling blessed that I was chosen to be their moms.  I have two of the sweetest girls ever =)

This afternoon we are going to go out sliding with my nieces.  Emma cannot wait to go...and it's pretty chilly here today. Hopefully it warms up a bit!  I have dinner going in the crockpot, and I thought I would share the recipe!

Crockpot Meatballs

I had never made these before, but a friend of mine made them a few days ago and I have to say they are my new favorite crockpot meatball recipe.

1 Bag of Frozen Meatballs (I used the italian style meatball)
Put those into the bottom of the crockpot and mix together in a separate bowl:

3 cups of Ketchup
3 cups of brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of Chili Powder
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce

Pour sauce over meatballs and cook on low for about 4 hours.  Or high for 2 hours.

Super easy and super good!

I'll share about our sliding adventures probably later this evening =)  Happy Sunday!

Throwback Thursday!

It's Thursday!  And it's also my Monday, and tomorrow is my Friday and it's actually Friday! haha Confused much?  My schedule is so weird, i'm back at work today, and knock on wood...it's slow so far!  I have the weekend off, and i'm pretty excited about that.  We don't have any plans at all, but i'm hoping to get outside with Emma...and maybe Alyx too.  We'll see just how cold it is first.

Let's start with a little Throwback Thursday, shall we?

Totally makes me laugh!  I'm the one in the jean jacket with the super curly hair with a scowl on my face! haha =)  I miss those days!

Monday evening after I got out of work, Brian took me and the girls out to dinner. We have a new restaurant in town that I have been dying to try out.  The food was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful.

I had crab stuffed haddock, red skin mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus. They also make some really great sounding pizzas, so we will have to try pizza night there soon!

We really haven't done much of anything lately.  It's been soooo cold, and i'm more than ready for some warm weather.  It will be so nice to get out of the house with Alyx and go for walks, play in the backyard...those kinds of things.  Lately we've spent many days in our pj's, and even getting into our pj's right after coming home from school and work.  We need some outdoor time...SOON!! =)
So I have just some random photos for you!

Emma got this gigantic teddy bear from one of my co-workers.  She LOVES it!! =)

Zebras EVERYWHERE!  You can barely see Alyx in there!

Emma insisted on doing her homework the other night with this huge pencil.  Hey, whatever works I guess!

I really think Emma is going to be a teacher of some sort when she gets older.  She loves playing school, and will even play school by herself.  She could sit for hours and "teach"!

Big stretches and Big smiles!!  Alyx is such a happy happy baby!!

Alyx sporting one of her many SaraEllie Bows.  My favorite bows!  I love the style of them, and well I think she looks pretty cute in this one =)

I have a new favorite bedtime snack.  Yeah, i'm 31 years old and still have to have something before bed! LOL  But this is my favorite right now!

This stuff is just good.  I don't know how else to put it.
It's not watery at all like some hot chocolates can get.  It's nice and creamy, and just yummy!  Try it!

Enjoy your Thursday all! =)
