Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!  Oh my goodness we had an amazing weekend, and I hope you all did as well!  Let's recap a bit =)

I can't even begin to tell you the last time we spent any great amount of time outside, that is until this weekend!  The weather this weekend was absolutely beautiful!  We didn't have a ton of snow this winter, but it was still really cold so we didn't get out like we have in years past.  So this weekend we totally made up for it.  We were outside all weekend long!  It was so nice =)

Alyx's most favorite thing to do right now is play with bubbles.  She is all about blowing bubbles!

Friday evening was gorgeous, but the weather only got better on Saturday and Sunday.  We had a BBQ at our house Saturday evening with some friends and the girls had the BEST time ever playing.  And I didn't take a single picture Saturday evening.  The girls ran and ran and played for hours with the other kids there.  Needless to say, bedtime Saturday evening they crashed within minutes! =)

Sunday morning bright and early Emma had softball tryouts again.  She was really nervous about them.  I kind of wanted to stay and watch her, but I really thought she would do better without Brian and I watching her.  So we dropped her off and went and grabbed coffee.

Alyx was ready for the day to get started!!

While Emma was at softball tryouts, there was a surprise being put together for her when she was done ;)

A new basketball hoop =) She has been begging for one, and she was definitely surprised when I picked her up from softball tryouts!

She wanted to play basketball the rest of the day! We had my nieces birthday party in the afternoon, and then the girls were able to play the rest of the day outside.

Alyx of course had to play with bubbles some more...

Emma went off to softball for the second time that day and Alyx and I went for a walk around the neighborhood.

And as soon as Emma got home from softball, she and the neighborhood girls played softball together in the backyard =)

Around 9pm last night Brian got a call from one of the softball coaches letting us know that Emma made the team!!!  She was still awake and she was so so so excited!  I'm super excited for her.  This is her first year playing for a "real" team.  Last year she played coach pitch, where the coaches pitch to the players and basically everyone bats until they hit.  This year it's all about rules and actually playing the game.  She is nervous, but the coaches said that she did amazing in tryouts.  I'm very excited to watch her play this season!

It's Patriots Day here in New England, and it is also April vacation week for the kids.  We don't have much planned this week, but the weather is going to be great so i'm anxious to enjoy it!

I hope you all have a great Monday!!

Linking up with Meghan and Biana today!
