New Owners

About 2 years ago I had mentioned that we were looking into buying into a timeshare.  We were so close to doing it, but then we found out we were expecting Miss Alyx =)  Well, the timeshare took a backseat and although I was bummed about it, it just wasn't meant to be.  Well the same opportunity came around again about a month ago and we just could not pass it up.  So today we officially became owners into a timeshare rental.  We got an amazingly low price on it, and since we love to travel it just made sense to do it.  Growing up I traveled a ton with my parents, and we always stayed in hotels.  And it was Brians family that got me hooked on the convenience of a timeshare/condo.  Having your own kitchen, living room, and washer and dryer while on vacation is just awesome =)
So Welcome to our new timeshare.

We bought into a company here in Maine, called Harbor Ridge.  But this is the thing.  We don't plan to use Harbor Ridge very often.  We have 1 week a year, but we can exchange it basically anywhere.  So when we go to Florida or wherever, we can exchange our week for one of the timeshares down there.  If one year we really don't want to go far, we can come here to Harbor Ridge for a week.  And anytime we are down that way we can use their facilities, pool, etc.

So here is a quick tour.

3rd floor Master bedroom.  King size bed, full bathroom, and a private balcony.

Looking down from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor.

Kitchen, obviously!  And directly behind me is a fullsize couch that pulls out into a bed, and another private balcony, that overlooks the ocean. =)

Straight ahead is the main door, to the right at the end is a 1/2 bath, and then to the left is the stairs going down to the 1st floor.

The stairs that lead to "Emma's room" as she says.  It has 2 fullsize beds, and a full bathroom.

It also has it's own private deck.

We are definitely excited about it =)   So now that I have probably completely bored you all to death with all that info, here's some cute pictures of the kids from yesterday =)

Alys loves playing with Emma's little people from when she was little!

When we got home yesterday from doing the timeshare stuff, Emma was at my mother in laws and wanted to play in the snow.  You would think she would be sick of playing in the snow by now! haha  But I guess as a kid snow is cool

And today we have more snow in the forecast.  Seriously is it EVER going to end up here?  Vacation can't come soon enough!!

Oh, and Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone.  I searched and searched for something Green for the girls to wear today...but apparently they don't own anything green...oh well =)  Happy Tuesday!

  1. Congrats on the timeshare! :o) anything on the ocean just sounds wonderful!!

  2. Woohoo for the timeshare!! It sounds like the perfect thing for your family! Can't wait to hear about all the fun your timeshare will bring you.
