Summer Days and Summer Nights

I'm trying to soak up as much of summer as I can right now.  Soon enough it will be cold and there will be snow outside.  We have really had a great summer.  Today was one of those really great days!
Brian and I were both up around 8, enjoyed coffee together and played with Miss A =)  This is the nickname that we have been calling Alyx =)
A little after 9, Emma woke up and we headed out to run a few errands.  When we got home Emma watched a movie and I got to cleaning our front porch.  It's amazing how much cleaner it looks with just a little sweeping out there!  We had lunch and then we headed to the farmers market!  Gotta love some fresh local veggies!!

We ended up getting green beans, summer squash, zucchini, and cucumbers.  All for of this for $7.00 =)

After the farmers market we headed to the park.  They had an ice cream truck there and a book truck.  They were giving away ice cream and books, and it was all put on by Emma's school.  Em ended up getting a frozen pomegranate icee, and 2 books.  They also told me to pick out 2 books for Alyx.

We walked around the park for a bit and then Emma wanted to sit and read, so that's what we did =)

It was super relaxing sitting by the river and listening to Emma read to Alyx.  These 2 are so cute together =)

After the park we headed to the store with Brian after he got out of work and got a few things and came home and made dinner.  We ate outside on our patio and it was beautiful out.  We had one of Emma's favorite meals.  Salmon, green beans, and I sautéed zucchini, squash and onions with some garlic.

And Emma cleaned her entire plate...completely!

This evening after doing a little yard work outside, Emma and I came back in and made a homemade banana pudding.  Brian got hooked on banana pudding after our trip to Georgia a few years back.  We went to a southern bbq restaurant, and for desert he had their pudding.  I got the recipe and he just loves it!

Tomorrow it's suppose to rain.  Ugggh.  Hopefully it doesn't though and we can enjoy another beautiful day outside!!!
